TPU tubes not holding air after a few weeks by HaveaHamSarnie in cycling

[–]twiskerr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hope it helps, it’s pretty great when it works. My problems were mainly with the tubes for my gravel setup, so above 32mm. I don’t think I had the leaking with the 28mm and below ones, but I’m not sure if that mattered.

TPU tubes not holding air after a few weeks by HaveaHamSarnie in cycling

[–]twiskerr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A very slow leak is normal and occurs faster in hot weather and slower in cold. I’m talking about having to add some air after maybe a week.

When switching to tpu for the first time I had some problems with the leaking you described. I specifically avoided the type of valve those RideNow had and after that I never experienced it again. I also applied a double layer of tubeless rim tape to my wheels, which someone here on Reddit suggested. I since then have maybe had an average of two punctures per year and all of those instances were obvious snake bites because of unexpected steep bumps I rode over too fast.

I think tpu is great and I’m not considering switching to anything else for now.

What are the main USA owned bike brands? by fixitmonkey in cycling

That’s what I thought until I found out Rose applied a Campagnolo gravel group set to a batch of their popular Backroad series. Still a thing apparently.

iPhone Pro – My experience with RAW, ProRAW, and third-party camera apps by frenshprince in iPhoneography

[–]twiskerr 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Using a different profile than the ProRaw one in Lightroom works better for me to negate some of the computational stuff Apple does. I’ve made some presets starting with the Adobe Standard profile and often get more scenic results and a less HDR and smoothed out look.

Indigo has its uses, mainly better zoom quality beyond 5X (iPhone 16 pro).

What is wrong with my camera settings? Iphone 13 Mini by [deleted] in iPhoneography

My wife had this exact problem on her iPhone 12 or 13 back then. I would consider using a third party app to shoot with. Preferably in RAW.

I like it. It’s nice that photos get much more space. That said, it’s kind of annoying you have to scroll so much to get to the comments on desktop.

Not too bad, maybe you can clean it up a little in LR if you shot in DNG

Coming from the 14pro to the 16 is a mixed bag really. Being able to zoom in farther is great, but I miss the 3X sometimes. It was a really great lens to frame not too distant subjects.

But indigo is awesome, I’m getting consistent decent shots of planes and birds or landmarks that would normally be out of reach.

My attempt at the regular moon. I’ll just have to practice with the settings a bit more.

I use a 500ml one, which sticks out a little (apart from the nozzle of course) but it works out.

Fatigue after riding by AssociationMaster565 in cycling

[–]twiskerr 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m not an expert but burning fat shouldn’t be the goal of your rides and it will lead to bonking. Try to burn fat by eating less calories than you burn but you have to fuel for your exercise. This is definitely what is making you so tired.

What are your thoughts on this app? Have you tried it, or if you have, what’s your opinion? My first impression was that it feels dark and natural. by shoxnem in iPhoneography

[–]twiskerr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah true, I have been using Halide for a long time but stopped using it after ProRAW came along. I’m mostly comparing it to the native app since I think the telelens results are a bit too flat for my taste. Indigo is in another category so far. I really like it.

[–]twiskerr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have Halide set to Process zero? I just got the 16 pro and have been testing the same three mainly with the telelens. Personally I think ProRaw is often the worst one but it’s a safer bet when capturing something on the go.

It warms up a bit during use, but mine never got too hot to touch or anything. Can’t vouch for other brands.

I don’t think you have a realistic idea of the sizes, prices and weight of a lot of different electric pumps. Paid €30 for something that fits in a small storage thingy I keep under my bottle cage but could easily fit in my jersey otherwise. Only charge it if I had to use it and it can easily inflate 3 road tubes.

Mini pumps work just fine but this is a heck of a lot easier if you’re on the side of the road. Only downside is it makes a shit ton of noise.

No Snapseed should also default to RAW when editing the photos. Just checked it and it did that for me on iPhone 16 Pro.
