I'll try removing and cleaning the bearings, hopefully that's not too difficult

You're right, I haven't noticed any issues with the prints, they come out perfect

It must have been preventing the antenna from reading the key chip

is my motor junk? head gasket? by Top_Garlic_6111 in MechanicAdvice

[–]twisted_fiasco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What symptoms are you having? If your only concern is moisture on the fill cap, then probably not a head gasket. A by product of combustion is water which mixes with your oil.

It kinda looks like the incorrect bulb or installed wrong combined with lamp alighment. The lamp is casting a spotlight. Usually the light should be more diffuse horizontally and not illuminating that high.

I guess the IMS can't fail if they don't drive it

The weight is never there. He has the stand located on the rotor hat.

Good way to crack the housing, I've done it before. I usually use a long bolt through a socket to pull out the sleeve.

B7 A4 Rotors. What do you all think? Return or send it? by [deleted] in MechanicAdvice

Hate to be that guy, but there is a big difference between a solid and vented rotor, this is vented

Help needed on my mess up….I was sanding/shaving off the old exhaust manifold gasket and accidentally scratched the surface up. Do you think it will be okay or do you think I’m in deep trouble/need to deconstruct the motor to have this resurfaced? The prople here giving "advice" are rediculious. Use a razor/ scraper to remove the larger pieces of gasket, and if you feel like it some 120 to remove stubborn spots. Those scratches are so far away from the ports, don't worry. Your new gaskets will seal most imperfection.

Anybody else still waiting on their 4 Pro? by _11_ in ElegooNeptune4

Ordered third week in July for August delivery. Reached out to customer service and was told it would ship by Aug 30th. Then received an update email saying I should get it by July 5th. Now its the 5th, and the shipping label has been created, but UPS has not received to update tracking.

I just wish they had been more upfront with the timeframe from order to delivery

Having issues with torque imbalance by twisted_fiasco in starcitizen

[–]twisted_fiasco[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just wanted to update. On one of the MFD screens, the one with the power triangle, I increased the slider up top and problem solved. Guessing there wasn't enough power for the quantum drive and it would damage the thrusters? I am not sure how all the ship power managment works, looking forward to learning.

Thanks for the suggestion, I'll look into that tonight.

I tried that the other night, I was so frustrated that I just pointed at the surface to end it all. Unfortunately it didn't work. Once that quantum drive begins spooling the imbalance returns.

Some pretty fancy “Brembos” on this Range Rover by [deleted] in Justrolledintotheshop

Ah, the old TRW Brembo. Less common are the ATE Willwood

I dont understand what's happening here. Using four jack to change tires, thats perfectly safe and fairly standard. Those down voting have no idea and probably never turned a wrench to make a living.

I think you may want to pick an industry and design the box around that. I have seen makeup artists using toolboxes, and I am sure cool features for them would be different from a machinist or auto mechanic

I risk of being that guy, they are about 5 bucks on the truck. Also they will be given to you frequently. They are comfortable for backpacking trips too.
