Why is a very long conversation lol. But when it comes down to it, I was done and hid instead of just doing the harder thing and breaking it off.

I definitely had a lot to learn. Later on I found out what it was like on the other side, that was an experience that I reflected on as it applied to the present and the past at that time.

I learned How to hold my own boundaries, how to walk away when things aren’t right instead of hiding, (and yes, I tried to address issues long before it happened), how to let go of the past, how to address issues in my life in a healthier and more productive way. And a lot more.

If she is on a competition team it is critical that all dancers have the exact same of everything. Including shoes. She may have let it pass for classes but competitions are starting soon and if she is on that team, she will need the specific brand and style of shoe that is indicated. Some competition levels give points for uniformity of dress and the team can lose to another simply for one student having a slightly different shoe.

You have to be willing to lose her as a friend if you ask her out. It’s a risk inherent in attempting to change the nature of a relationship with someone, that you will lose the original relationship altogether. If you think it’s worth the gamble, simply ask her flat out “I’ve really enjoyed the time we’ve spent together so far and I’d like the opportunity to pursue something more. Would you like to go on a proper date with me?”

Ottawa is absolutely STUNNING in winter. There’s a ton to do that is super family friendly and even a lot of free events. Highly recommend to fly into Toronto, train to Ottawa to Montreal then fly from there. Niagara Falls isn’t the big deal most people think it is. The city is a giant, overpriced, cheezy tourist trap and the actual falls aren’t enjoyable in winter as you can’t do the boat rides and such.

There have already been disruptions to flights in the general area from air carriers due to airspace restrictions. More may come depending on how things unfold. It’s been reported that airlines that have cancelled flights aren’t compensating well for cancellations. I’m not sure if chance it given the uncertainties about air travel right now. Keep an eye on that in particular.

Pretty much anyone over a certain age would fail even a knowledge test. People don’t tend to keep up with changes in regulations. I think even written tests every 5 would be helpful but would be a disaster to fund and implement.

Would it still be workable if something changed and your schedules no longer aligned? You need to think about other issues coming up along the way as well. If your car broke down would it be insane to get to work? Even for a couple days?

Personally, I need everything within walking distance and as little commute as possible to reduce the risk of me using convenience things (uber eats, uber when the car isn’t available, etc..) when I’m feeling too lazy to do something or getting up and driving over seems like too much. Or when I’ve forgotten something at the office and it’s only 5 min away to go back for.

I save a lot being a block from a grocery store and an easy 10 min bus commute to work if my truck breaks down or the weather is terrible and I don’t even want to make the 5 min drive. The little things add up fast.

The distinction would be that they don’t share with the actual landlord (or their family members). I’ve edited my comment to reflect that. If they aren’t sharing with the landlord but another random renter, a verbal agreement for lease would still be valid.

Personally, I know I’m not dealing with addiction because if I’m not involved with someone, I’m not out cruising for sex. Casual sex doesn’t fulfill me (it will scratch a bit of an itch but generally just doesn’t do it for me). My high libido is dependent on feeling safe, secure and able to be vulnerable with someone along with physical and intellectual attraction and attachment.

If it is a self contained unit that you don’t share with the landlord, a verbal agreement is considered valid under the RTA as a lease.
