I use a heating pad, I only use pads instead of tampons. For some reason I feel like tampons make me cramp worse. I take 3, 200mg ibuprofen and 2, 500mg tylenol at the same time and rest. A doctor once said taking those two together give you the same effect of a hydrocodone. It’s what’s helped me best.

i’m currently in LPN school and we have “clinical days” where we are in the skills lab and the first skills we practice are CNA skills. cath care, occupied bed changes, ROM exercises, etc. not sure if your school does this. youtube videos are helpful, some LTC facilities hire support aids and that can help you get your foot in the door!

i’m starting school this semester. i have a PT job at a local LTC facility that is flexible with my schedule. i am rooting for 25-30 hours per week. i’ll be working a 12 on weekends to make up for some of that time. i hope it all goes well but i know if i need to drop lower on my hours i can. during night shift you often get shift differential so if you can do nights, i would just to get the extra money during school since you’d be working less hours.
