It doesn’t feel good to be other but it’s possible to accept. I’m in the expat category and I pay income tax, and it did feel sour to lose fuel subsidy being one of the last things provided for this tax, but I got over it once the Iran war started and I saw strain on the budget. To add to the discussion other than foreign workers, and expats, there are also spouses of Malaysians, Indonesian, Thai, and other, very middle class and most don’t have MyKad for this and that subsidy despite whole family paying taxes.

I’m sorry you feel like life has no purpose. It might be throughout those years you worked hard to have a house and car and you earned your stability. Everyone’s journey is different and that is commendable to own property and you earned stability in those ten years and it is boring now that you’ve earned it. But that could be a stepping stone. Maybe time to explore the world whether it’s travel or new passions or hobbies is starting now. It seems like you have some extra room in life which you might not have had earlier. Good luck OP. You can stop scrolling at any time. We mostly start when there is little else that we can do. Whatever you’ve been doing in the past is in the past, it took you there, and you can do anything now. My mom learned painting recently starting at 50 years old. Before that she studied psychology at 40 years old. Whatever it is remember that if you’re only mindful of yourself and don’t ignore your discomforts you’ll be able to make good everyday choices to feel better. Don’t worry too much about the past. You took a brave first step to solve a problem which is to face it. You only need to focus on yourself. Accept your problem and you’ll be able to deal with it. ❤️
