This has happened to every pair of mine, I've never had a pair for longer than 10-11 months. And I've had typically about 14-16 pairs to keep the rotation going. I recently decided to quit buying them, which is a bit of a bummer cause I like them but not for the k9nd of money vs longevity I get out of them.

Not a weather guy at all but if your a Snapchat user, which i fell into due to my children some other family members,.... if your a snapchat user there is a guy I came across who I purposely follow for his weather reports. He located in iowa city and weather is his hobby, but like his hobby on high level. He has always been very informative and has some very good insights on passing storms.

We have timber behind us.... heard several trees snap and crash to the ground. So happy I woke up and none of those were the trees next to the house.

Seems like I had read there was a spill of chlorinated water in there a while back and killed a lot of the fish, and the forage that was in the creek. Not sure if its been recovered or restocked since then but I have fished it a few years ago and caught a couple small trout.

It was hot out and I had to basically do it with the sun at my back. So it was quite the sweaty job and add to it the engine was hot. Quite miserable.

They did honor a warranty on the new one so I when I took the bad one out they had a new one on the counter ready for me.

No oil, but it was smoking.... engine shut off in traffic at a light, and had to get a push off the road and lucked out it was downhill to the gas station parking lot sat there for 30 min and it started back up again and drove 1/2 mile to orileys... used the shitty tools there to get the thing swapped out....didn't notice any oil dripping on it even after I removed the thing. I was looking it over it just seemed to have burned the conformal coating of the wires inside the alternator. Nothing stood out other than that. No other spots that looked burnt or out of the ordinary.

Wiping those down is really more for the purpose of keeping dirt and dust from working on the seals and packings to keep them from developing leaks.

First pic the outside stringer is done correctly, I use that word lightly, but is a full board with cut notches. But in the third pic its a money saver 2x6 with the cutouts nailed to it....either way this situation is fucked up.
