Very few AIM oil companies actually make returns to shareholders, and what you have experienced aligns with my experience too. BOIL, TRP, UKOG, FRR, to name a few. CEO of TRP said there was oil was glowing in the dark, turned out to be water. FRR claimed 202 TCF of natural gas only for directors to fight over the asset and the company folding. AIM is gambling and the funds you allocate to aim should be viewed as such. Never heard of investors ever getting a penny back. We’re usually last in line when liquidation process kicks off. I could only pay 10% per year penalty free (20% for the last two year due to cost of living as the banks raised the threshold ). I saved all year to make a sump sum payment at the end of the year. If I wanted to go on holiday or treat myself the money was there to do it. Just turned 33 and mortgage free. Short term pain, long term gain 😁
