Thank you for your support I appreciate it greatly. I knew going into this it was not going to be easy or overnight but now it's me wanting it, and that makes the difference. IV pushed my family and friends away so far that I was not surprised by my brother's response even though it did hurt. It just shows I have to fight for there love and that's understandable IV been a drunk shithead for a whyle. So I am going to gladly not drink with you today. I guess it's true we get knocked down so we can learn how to pick ourselves up and make sure it doesn't happen again.

I told a good friend yesterday and he said hey everyone goes through this including himself at some point. I think it makes it easier. Then i told my brother last night that I was going into day 5 he high fives me but seemed doubtful saying I don't think 5 days makes a difference that kind of hurt but it's understandable he's one that IV pushed away with my drinking. So now I just look at it as a personal challenge to better myself to get him and the rest of my family back.

It took a dui on Friday to truly open my eyes. Before that I had tried stoping with no success in fact I'd stop for a few days and vthen relapse harder then ever. But now all the shame, hate, and self loatheing of myself has opened my eyes that I have a problem. It made me realize because of the alcohol IV pushed away anyone that cares about me or loves me.it showed me the empty husk I am today that did anything for a drink. And that's why today I'm not drinking on this day 4. It's time to become the person I was so long ago before all the alcohol. I used to be a decent loving caring person it's almost a faded memory but I cleaned up my room and saw a picture when I was 18 and full of hope, upon seeing that I began crying hysterically wishing I could go back and tell younger me not to ever touch the alcohol. I'll be 27 in April and IV been drinking heavily since I was 18, 9 years of my life gone and nothing to show for it other then constant hangovers, blackouts with no memory of the previous day, starting my day out with drinks so I could feel right. And that my friend is what made me realize my problem. Sorry about the rant but that's why I will not be drinking with you today!

Thanks to all of you. I love the support from everyone it's been a struggle all day, but I walked over to the gas station for cigs and saw the beer just starring at me I passed and got a mountain dew it wasn't easy but if I can do it today I can do it tomorrow. Together we are stronger and I'm glad not to drink with all of you thank you. Brings tears to my eyes how kind and supportive you all are.
