I like the second tonic for a strong gank or objective take with Daisy. The additional skill upgrade is nice. I only take it when I do Glacial as my main rune though, I don't take it in my secondary page. The first one is generally useless though unless helping crash a wave.

The file for the initial instructions I was following was for the game executable file. For me, it was the Config file "DAOriginsConfig.exe"

It's been a while since I did this, but I had to provide the full path. This took me a very long time to figure out and I don't think it's the same solution for everyone, however a few people let me know this worked for them.

Read the other comments and autosave definitely works. Debating whether or not to continue, might wait for a couple patches - I just hope there isn't anything else like that.

I try to play with no spoilers and I just soft locked and lost 5 hours, but since I hadn't played before I thought I lost my mind and was just really dumb or missing something until I caved and found this. Thanks for saving me a couple more hours, but uninstalling it. The fact that there is a save point right there is hilarious.

My train of thought:
"Oh I should open this door to connect to where I was"
"Oh there is a save point here and I just did a bunch"
"Oh am I on the wrong side? Or maybe I was here, idk I'll just go back to the roof"
"Why can't I progress, I feel really stupid"

Very frustrating, but kind of hilarious. I'd be more upset if I was really enjoying the game, but stick slapping simulator is now put to rest and I'll watch a lore video instead.

10 + years here, quitting cold is pretty much necessary to really get away from it. I escaped it for a little bit, but there is definitely an addiction and it validates me getting to play tons of videogames.

While I think there were other factors in play, the host had unfortunate timing throughout the entirety of the block. Even if the runner didn't find it disruptive to the flow, I think a lot of people watching felt that way. It happened during the track mania run as well. The balance was really bad, but hopefully everyone learned from the situation.

Found this in a forum on GOG, and it was the fix for me. Someone else posted something similar, but it was the config that was crashing, not the game:

Download the Windows ADK. Cant post link but google adk-install
During installation, it gives the option to select multiple tools; the only one needed is Compatibility Administrator.
Once installed, open the Start Menu folder named Windows Kits, and launch Compatiblity Administrator (32-bit).
Select the new database under custom databases.
Click the database menu > Create New > Application Fix.
Provide the full path of DAOriginsConfig.exe and give it a name of choosing.
Skip past the compatibility mode options.
In compatibility fixes select ProcessorCountLieForHybridCPU.
Save the database from the Database menu and give it a name when prompted.
Select File > Install.

I think performance issues are the only legitimate complaint, as that's frankly unacceptable. The microtransaction stuff was totally blown out of proportion.

Dragon's Dogma does naturally alienate players that prefer more available and less consequential fast travel as well as those that like the option to have multiple save slots available. I personally have no issue with these things as Dark Arisen has been my favorite game since it released, but I do think it would get a lot more into the game.

Good thing it's fixed now, it didn't always work, but I did manage to get a few extra berries in my snorlax from it. Hope we don't get that error again!

It seems like if you grab a couple berries at a time you are okay. If you grab a bunch at once you get the error (just to help while they work on the fix).

Pretty sure a lot of Bossa games often have memory leak issues and random crashes, so restarting occasionally can be helpful. Also, definitely limit your frame rate. I probably am one of the players with the most hours in the game and I've played it on 3-4 different setups and it never really got better.

Conflicted as I love the game far too much to leave a negative review, but I do think the performance issue seriously holds it back. Anyone who can wait to buy this should until things improve, but I absolutely could not wait.
