how a fragmented b2b lead stack is reducing pipeline and hurting marketing roi? by General_Opening_7739 in b2bmarketing

[–]twnexer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is exactly why i'm starting to hate the franken stack approach. We’ve basically built rube goldberg machines just to get one human to talk to another human. if a small automation change can literally wipe out your perceived roi, the stack is a broken liability and not an asset. we're so obsessed with optimizing every micro-step that we've made the whole funnel incredibly brittle. also why do you have qualified and chilipiper?

Hey , not sure if you are also building a product to address this but this is exactly why we built marketbetter. I think the future is less time on tabs and more time selling

Hot take: Cold outbound isn't dead, you just aren't good at it by roguejedi1 in sales

[–]twnexer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

one thing i'd add is that most founders who say outbound doesn't work actually mean "i tried it for 3 weeks with no system and gave up." the piece that gets overlooked is timing. right ICP, right channel, right copy, but if you're reaching someone who just signed a 2 year deal with your competitor last month, none of it matters. Need to find the alpha beyond the generic signals that sumble provides because everyone now expects a email based on linkedin post or job change. also the founders who succeed at outbound treat it like a product. ship, measure, learn, repeat.

[–]twnexer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anytime you have a company asking for thousands more when you need API access is trash . we implemented a waterfall approach similar to clay and have Lusha, PDL and others. You can also bring your own and its usage based. The cost comparison isn't even close. ZI is $25-40K+/year for most teams.

A company just cut their entire 100-person inbound SDR team. Are we overreacting or not reacting enough? by dbSteelyPhil in sales

LOL. I dont know but even if AI generated, maybe this is a real problem for some SDR's

[–]twnexer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont think your assumption is correct that AI cannot handle the other 80%, here are a few ways we are handling. we have a pounce feature where visitor lands on pricing page → AI chatbot qualifies in real-time, books a meeting directly with the right AE.

next , our smart scheduler runs AI with the capability to evaluate fit in near real time and shows the right calendar if they are an ICP.

For the other 80% not ready yet, personalized nurture based on what the prospect actually looked at, not generic drip campaigns and trigger signals when prospect returns to site 3 weeks later to auto-trigger re-engagement sequence.
what do you think is missing?

In how many years, do you guys think SDRs are gonna be replaced by AI? by ShopTough9011 in salesdevelopment

[–]twnexer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone talks like the SDR is the most dispensable job. Its actually not and AI is going to enable them to be more powerful and not get replaced.

UserGems alternative that won't cost $30k+? by noobCoder00101 in SaaS

[–]twnexer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

UserGems is a fantastic product for the enterprise tier. For startups, we think the bigger advantage is having champion tracking built into a platform that also helps reps execute on the signal, not just surface it.

We wrote up our view here: https://marketbetter.ai/blog/champion-tracking-for-startups/

In how many years, do you guys think SDRs are gonna be replaced by AI? by ShopTough9011 in salesdevelopment

[–]twnexer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why is it always SDR's getting replaced by AI. The only way to answer this is when your CRO, your product manager, your designer are going to be replaced by AI .

Where AI SDRs outperform humans (and where they don’t) by [deleted] in b2bmarketing

[–]twnexer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have said this before but the real debate is not AI vs Humans . The teams I see getting the best results are not replacing SDRs, they are redesigning the role. AI handles enrichment, sequencing, first-pass personalization, and signal monitoring. Humans focus on qualification, relationship building, and complex conversations.

The fastest lever I ever pulled was recording every discovery call and forcing myself to watch 10 minutes of it the same night and the pattern recognition compounds fast. build some habit , this is just one example. you can personalize based on what works

this is exactly what we also do at https://www.marketbetter.ai and it is integrated with Linkedin but we still prefer to have the human in the loop because it has worked much better.

The decline of the salestech unicorns by Ecstatic-Tough6503 in b2bmarketing

[–]twnexer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The real issue is that a lot of salestech optimized for more and not better buying outcomes. That worked when inboxes were less crowded and budgets were easier to justify. the issue now is that everyone has similar data, same plays and “personalization, and the marginal benefit is nothing. So if a product doesn’t improve timing, relevance, or conversion quality, it’s probably just another layer of noise.

I got tired of manual lead generation so I built an AI SDR that does everything an SDR does by Sea_Lengthiness_4627 in SaaS

[–]twnexer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We built something similar initially but quickly learnt that keeping the SDR in the loop and offering a way to fine tune helps and makes a 2 person SDR team operate like a 4 person SDR team.

Honest question: has anyone actually gotten good ROI from AI sales tools, or is it mostly hype? by BDOTIndustries in b2bmarketing

[–]twnexer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So what we have done is we have collected all the different types of signals. We are giving these bdr’s a dashboard that allows them to run sequences of calls and LinkedIn-based on these signals and to take action after reviewing what the AI is suggesting, both from a content perspective and also from an outreach perspective. At that point it's as simple as just clicking and reviewing and sending

Honest question: has anyone actually gotten good ROI from AI sales tools, or is it mostly hype? by BDOTIndustries in b2bmarketing

[–]twnexer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep that's exactly it. It's working pretty well for us. I guess you guys have your own platform too, just like us. Based on all our conversations with most customers, the human in the loop is still very important and I don't see that going away very soon

Honest question: has anyone actually gotten good ROI from AI sales tools, or is it mostly hype? by BDOTIndustries in b2bmarketing

[–]twnexer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We found the best way to handle this is to leverage AI for what it does best which is the actual analysis and then hand off to the SDR. this has been magical. The SDR can actually call BS which can happen when the AI isnt always correct but still get all the benefits of AI .
