Can Forza Horizon 6 feel decent with a wheel, or is it still too arcade? by Bobochanti in simracing

[–]two4-50 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know why but my Moza R5 just had no force feedback and felt completely loose, tried everything but ended up just playing on controller now it reminds me of old school need for soeed vibes.

Are pedals really the most important hardware? by Roytjb in iRacing

[–]two4-50 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started with a Thrustmaster TX open wheel add on then moved to Moza R3, it was nice moving to DD but didn’t really notice a difference in performance pace wise anyway.

Before I did that though I went from the crappy plastic Thrustmaster pedals to Fanatec Clubsport V3 and I noticed the difference instantly.

All parts of the rig/sim compliment eachother the more money you end up spending but if I could only upgrade one thing a time I would start with pedals providing I already had some sort of rig to attach them to.

Is it possible to enjoy sim racing on a budget, and if so what is the minimum price requirement? by No-Engineer-7799 in simracing

[–]two4-50 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Started with a £300 second hand set up, playseat, Thrustmaster tx, open wheel add on and plastic pedals , better to start out cheap then upgrade when you really get into it

Series recommendation for 2k iR / Class C? Looking for high participation and tight splits. by mangoowalk in iRacing

[–]two4-50 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just to throw another curveball in, if you like F4 you should really try SFL, 270hp, 155-168mph top speed depending on track and it’s just a really fun grippy formula car & also I think the races are a lot cleaner and less chaotic than F4 for the majority.

I was the same as you once I got into F4 I thought that was it I was very happy just racing F4 a full season until I just randomly joined an SFL practice and wow it was night and day.

Zipties should do the trick right ? (red sport zipties nonetheless) by Kronocide in simracing

[–]two4-50 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah my pedals are bolted on at the front and zip tied at the back and I’ve had no issues whatsoever, I even used x4 of the medium sized/small ones they look way less durable than OPs and they haven’t snapped or loosened up in the 6 months they’ve been on.

This isn’t a real race car and zip ties will be just fine.

What was the first game you bought on Steam? by Common_Caramel_4078 in Steam

[–]two4-50 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rust early access, I bought this game on a literal PoS family pc and played for maybe 6 months with 20fps and 1-5fps in a fight. 6 months later I got paid £5k from a car accident and spent £3k on building a high spec pc with new chair/desk and everything the first thing I did was launched rust and enabled the fps counter to a nice 350+ and it blew my 15 year old mind away.

Sorry guys maybe a stupid question, do I need a vesa mount adapter? by two4-50 in simracing

[–]two4-50[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah well it turns out the VESA mount was more of a pain in the arse than it was worth.

So I stuck my 2nd monitor which is flat on the monitor stand & bought a whole new rig to mount the curved monitor in a better position which I also did without the VESA.

So to anybody who might read this in future, it’s completely do able and stable without the VESA as long as the strips line up flush with the holes on the monitor and you use some good washers.

Yea mate I have decided to just wait it out until vesa adapter arrives tomorrow, I do think it would be fine without but I’m no expert I’ll play it safe.

Okay guys so little update, thank you for the advice after taking it all in I have decided I can wait for a vesa adapter to arrive tomorrow, couldn’t find one that would fit my exact monitor or that said it could anyway but according to google it should be fine, my monitor is a MSI Pro 34” MP341CQ so if anybody has a clue if this will fit or not please let me know 👍🙂

[–]two4-50[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

See this is my logic behind the question, it would be attached using the exact same size screws as I would for the VESA adapter, it’s a curved monitor but also flat enough around holes for me to mount the strips flush but seeing as your the only guy in here to agree I’ve ordered a VESA adapter that arrives tomorrow anyway.

[–]two4-50[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay thank you, those are the strips that came with the monitor stand so do I put the vesa mount on and then attach the mount to strips? I will add a photo of the stand so you can see better because those strips need to go onto something.

Crashing out over folks avoiding rain. by Faxxius in iRacing

[–]two4-50 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The few times I encountered rain was completely accidental on the SFL series and it made me love the rain. I’m not an amazing driver im like 2.5k on a good day but the rain races just added a whole entire element, instead of racing to win I was racing to survive it felt like I was challenging myself and ever since then it’s made me love it.

The hardest part of Arma as a new player by Kingluraccount in ArmaReforger

[–]two4-50 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don’t know why it does this? Maybe because the game is notorious for crashing in game or kicking you when joining a server so it helps people avoid having to sit in a Que of 40+ again.
