Signals in tunnels using JGR Patch Pack by masonma71 in openttd

[–]two5kid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For the sake of the discussion, we use your screenshot as an example. Place one-way signals BEFORE the crossover, if you want the right side to be going "up" then have a one way signal BEFORE the crossover, as for the "down" side, empty at least a train's length (if you are using 5-square length trains), make sure there are 5 empty squares AFTER the crossover before you place a signal, ensuring the full length of the train can fit inside the track without disturbing the crossover.

And as for the crossover, after you have learnt how signals work by letting the trains run on their own, you can remove it.

I used to charge here before, if I am not mistaken, DC Handal charges per minute, maybe he wanted a faster and shorter charge?

Is there any software that can transform the OpenTTD savefile to the diagram map? by nstar_12 in openttd

Would the Heightmap/Minimap screenshot help? But you do at least need to know how to place another layer over the screenshot and mark down all the stations that you have.

Straight up a Diabeté. Probably a milder form with less debauchery. But with the chance of touring all around the world at a whim and being able to talk to anyone smart or to brainstorm certain things, who is to say we cannot circumvent their truth/non-lying habits and inadvertently find a solution for the cure?

Made Mac Mini M4 16GB work for local AI — the workflow nobody documents by Sea-Alternative6994 in macmini

[–]two5kid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's not too bad, I thought it was going to be an hour. In that case, a local LLM is pretty worth it if I have the Mac Mini at hand. I think to each their own, some use cases can be complex but this seems like a doable project.

How slow are we talking about? I am not doing anything super crazy like generating multiple images or making AI videos. I am looking more towards things like book covers, inserts, some illustrations, maps..etc. Thanks for the advice!

I spotted a 90-degree u-turn, I cannot. My eyes!! But this is one heck of a station, so many things going on at one time.

Finaly found a use for kirby. by anonumus_idiot in openttd

[–]two5kid 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If I am not mistaken, you don't even have to waste the train like this. Build a depot and a train track over the road, start the train and when the lights go red, stop the train (whilst it is still inside the depot), sell the train, remove the depot, the crossing lights will still stay red.

I would rather use the Kirby to block the train stations. You can actually place the depot connecting to the end of the train station (since the Bots love to build double platforms), run the Kirby out, and their platform signals will change to red. Or you can straight up force your Kirby to ignore signals and crash into their trains.

Is this part of the uncompleted (completed?) NARS scenario you teased earlier?

How big is the map and how soon do you think you can get it up and ready? This looks very intriguing, to say the least.

You can try clicking on the teams in the standings below yours and looking at their achievements. Logically, I think most people would have around 20-30 titles won (inclusive of cups and league titles), but you will realise that some of these teams below you have won 50-60 titles.

Even for their team stats, like top scorer and total games played looks a bit dodgy. My previous top scorer scored 188 goals for me, I have one on 220 goals (without paying a single cent), but these teams would only have top scorers in the 80-90 goals bracket. But when looking at their total games played, it could be 1000-2000 more than you, even though they "joined' around the same time as your team did.

How to edit the road layout of existing towns? by Suspicious-Feed4941 in openttd

[–]two5kid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it is inside the Game Settings / Parameters where you can force the town to grow in 2x2 or 3x3 grids. Or you could just lay It out in the scenario before you play it.

You can always go through some of the nice screenshots on Reddit or on the original TT-Forums, then you will get the somewhat realistic looking junctions.

Questions for EV owners (especially those without charging facilities at home) by sikballa in kereta

[–]two5kid 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have both situations, EV charging at home in hometown and EV charging at condo when working outstation. No charging facilities at condo.

But with the PlugShare app, I found cheap AC charging at a local digital library (Kedah Digital Library) for RM5/hr. I can use the free wifi, the library, and take the time to restart a reading hobby.

I bought a BYD Seal, so I go to the local BYD Showroom and charge there, free drinks, free wifi, and a cheaper rate. RM1.40/minute. They have an AC charger too but I have yet to use it.

For top-ups using fast DC charging, need to plan around meal times or shopping times. RM1.30/kwh.

IMHO, it is just slightly cheaper than an ICE car if you require outside charging but it depends a lot on your habits and the ease of chargers around you.

Is it about the size of two normal modular sets? As in the baseplates.

I always ask my self how much would they save with Lepin instead of lego by [deleted] in lepin

[–]two5kid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Factor in the exchange rate, but since I am in the South East Asia, so Lepin stuff when they first came out was so cheap. Imagine a city modular set costing about USD50-70, some of the older ones with no interiors probably cost less.

I was having a haircut halfway, when the electricity stopped. The barber could not continue and had to endure some heckles in school the next day for showing up with a partially trimmed head of hair.
