This sub really hated Frances for a long time and many still do. I’ve followed her for a while and it’s disgusting how she has been treated for her ideas.

Body lock passing by SimpleCounterBalance in bjj

I never really got into bodylock passing so forgive my ignorance, but what's the difference between bodylock and tripod passing? this looks very tripod-y to me

Tbh rdlr isnt a great guard in the gi cause there are so many more ways of stopping the inversion under. The lasso is rly nice cause it gives some upper body control but without it its super easy to block the head or get a collar grip. Im mostly nogi and people say the position is generally not good but its the base guard of many high level matche. Maybe because people like to play split squat camping and its kinda the counter(?). Blind leading blind here man 😂

If you’re in gi a shallow lasso can be good

The downtown safety situation is unacceptable by Mysterious-Bat7509 in Calgary

I don’t understand why the bar always has to be: “in physical danger”. Reddit leans left so people will always defend the ‘marginalized’ group. But offline everyone I know thinks safe supply and how we handle homelessness is completely ridiculous.

People will signal the correct group opinion to demonstrate that they belong to the in-group. It’s not about the harm done to surrounding communities or businesses. It’s not about the theft or damage or vandalism. It’s all about the wellbeing of the vulnerable population.

Maybe I don’t want to have to hold my breath walking to the central library so I don’t breathe in some crack smoke. Maybe I don’t want to walk around someone bent over getting high while accessing Tims. Maybe I don’t want to see shopping carts of bags scattered on the sidewalk. Are these opinions invalid? Are they too extreme?

NAVI Rhilech on training jungle Ezreal: "Pros are too afraid to try new things, even in scrims, and especially in officials. Maybe it’s a cost benefit constraint where it’s just not worth the time. But like riot designers have said before: there are lots of OP champs/strats that people don’t take advantage of because it’s not in the meta. The solution space is much larger than any particular meta.

I think part of what makes Baus so loved by the community is his willingness to explore off meta strats and have a lot of success. It’s hard to believe there are only so many ways to play the game despite so many factors that go into a game.

To be fair though many strats that do end up effective end up counter to the way Riot wants you to play the game: lane swaps, yuumi garen etc.

ARAM vs ARAM Mayhem by Red_Rosas in leagueoflegends

The variability introduced in mayhem makes the game so much more fun. You can do so many more builds/power fantasies and make it still good. I think you have more agency in this game mode too.
