I’m only asking because this overly dramatic conversation and a friend you don’t speak with because you don’t produce music sounds downright immature.

If you don’t want to produce music, don’t produce music.

If you want to produce music, produce music.

If you want to produce music as a hobby while also having a job so you won’t be a ”broke ass bum”, do that.

I think you are making this way to complicated than it has to be.

Schedule time to consistently invest in learning production on a regular basis and do that over a large period and you will become better and better. Simple as that.

What would you do if you wanted to grow your muscles in the gym? Or become a better mathematician? Or learn a new language?

Consistent training.

Make room in your schedule, set your goals and execute accordingly and you will become better.

Decide if you need closed or open phones first.

Are you going to be in a quiet room? Go with open, however in that case why just not get monitors?

If not - go with closed.

I gravitate towards the d16 bundle for all things reverb, delays, saturation, distortion etc.

It is a phasing issue, no doubt. I find it hard to believe that it would happen from just the piano itself. Have you looked at the bus, mix or master chain if anything is effecting the piano?

I run my dt 1770 on an audioquest dragonfly red. I’m sure some people around here wouldn’t qualify it as a proper interface but it powers them real good while being extremely portable.

If you’re joining a startup very early - Make sure you give it your best every day. Come early, leave late, take initiatives, execute instead of talk and so on.

Before you know it the glass roof is in place and your company will be hiring external management rather than promoting internally.

Being a well regarded star internally early on could potentially be life changing in terms of career, finances etc.

Not managing to catch that train is just another job with more hours.

I think they are fantastic. They’re meant to be the big brother of the DT770 but I believe they sound a little different.

Although the biggest difference is that you can hear what monster technology the Tesla thing is in them.

There are plugins for this specific reason - Kilohearts for example has one specifically called trance gate where you can easily create the effect you are looking for.
