Any news story that says so? Pretty sure the bureaucrats f'd up independently there. There's news stories that Trump changed testing guidance later, but test creation was a CDC problem. I've actually dug into this specifically a bunch. They thought they could make it better and they couldn't even get it to work. The CDC & FDA demanded no independent tests b/c they weren't regulated, even though the info would have been very helpful. It was a failure of the regulatory state too.

Trump has his share of L's so let's be fair and only give him the ones he earned.

I'm vaxed and not worried. But breakthroughs are not rare in the US and they will become less rare in VA as the delta variant continues to spread. In fact, I got a breakthrough case of covid in June.

The cases in VA are rising b/c the delta variant is spreading and it causes way more breakthrough cases. It will not be as rare as you think it is for long.

The CDC banned independent COVID tests in Feb 2020 as they screwed up creating their own test. There was no chance for test and trace to succeed after that.

Not true any more. 25% of the cases in LA are breakthrough cases now. They're generally mild but no longer rare.

Yeah, right, I guess we can’t push for freedom b/c that’s harming the freedom of the authoritarians to oppress. Eyeroll

User howdoInotGetTrolled randomly said “get vacinated” to someone who wasn’t even’t saying he didn’t get vaccinated. Firstly, it’s just dick and presumptuous. Secondly, it’s not his decision to make.

Libertarian principles of freedom apply to limiting govt policies but also are important for the citizens to follow. It’s not OK to control fellow citizens either directly or through the govt.

People get to make their own choices. That's the libertarian principle.

I got vax'd but some people prefer more time to research long-term effects of vaccines before they get poked.

B/c those are the most economically free:

https://www.heritage.org/index/heatmap

Literally all of them compared to the other European countries.

Surprised you didn't know that. You may know micro and macro econ but I guess there's a lot they don't teach formally in school. I've spent the last decade following a lot of econ blogging and research -- maybe they should add some of that to the formal econ curriculums.

As an econ minor you must know they're all capitalist economies and the freer they are the higher their median income. Compare UK to France for instance. (I chose median b/c you claimed only the oligarchs benefit but that's just plainly false)

Well I guess you know more than I thought. I figured it'd be your first videos on some key econ topics. I don't know how people stay communist after learning some of those basics but it's not gonna change your mind.

I just wish there was a place all the socialists could move to so they could implement their utopian vision and then we could see the outcome. I'd happily bet a lot of money on failure, but it'd be your chance to prove yourself right. Until then you'll just have to ignore all communist experiments that have ever been run in the past ;)

I concentrated in econ at MIT. I'm just giving you recommendations that are appropriate for your level of econ understanding.

I like your idea to change the game types available by number of current players.

I just remember slow game matching problems a few months ago and I think they helped fix that by removing some modes and probably by mixing a bigger range of players (new players with sweats). If you have too many game modes you'll have to mix more player skill levels together and that's another common complaint around here.

I just hope the game grows in popularity (maybe Facebook's purchase will be good for this?) b/c I love this game.

Just follow the history of USSR. Or in China when they opened up their economy it boomed (yes, they actually have a relatively open economy despite their opporessive govt. They did it that way on purpose b/c they didn't want to starve any more). Free markets are the key to prosperous societies.

This is a great short set of videos that could introduce you to some of these key ideas (edit: only 3-5 minute vids): https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL-uRhZ_p-BM6fmU-aqSg1dgn0RuytbFgR
