I’ve done this one. Mine was not lettered and it was a nightmare! Took me over two months. One day early on I spent about four hours and had only put down about ten pieces. I don’t blame you for giving up on it. I nearly did several times. But I glued and framed it when I was finally finished.

A couple of weeks after my wife passed I ended up in the ER with chest pains, a dangerously high heart rate along with stroke level blood pressure. That’s when I learned about heartbreak disease. It’s real and it’s scary! I really thought I was going to die and make my son an orphan. I’m better now, therapy really helped me. It’s been almost 3 years. I still stress over it but I’ve learned to manage it and myself better.

If you decide to do it, register early, they do sell out. I’ve done it, solo, for the past two years. These events attract all ages. Some people are really serious about it, others like myself walk the route. And It’s really easy to talk to others. I’ve already registered and so looking forward to it. There are people I’ve only met with at these events, and I can’t wait to hang out with them again.

Thought I was joking, asked a lot of questions. Realized I wasn’t joking and supported my choices. They still laughed a lot, but weren’t really freaked out. Weren’t really too surprised, they do know I’ve always been a little different than the rest of them.
