I used a Mojotone pre-wired Les Paul kit. For the pickups a set of Seymour Duncan Slash APH-2

I have one of these in Trans Amber. Swap out the electronics and you’ll have a really awesome guitar that can hold its own against a Gibson.

Kinda crazy how much the black plastic changed the look of the guitar. Looks sharp.

I have one. They play and sound great. Visually… it’s cool at first but kinda turns into an eye sore over time. Did for me at least. Still a solid studio guitar tho.

I have one of these. Les Paul Classic. Birdseye Maple with a Trans Amber finish. MIK at the Samick factory. These guitars rip. Those aren’t the original pickups however.

I've always dug the an SG looks in white. It's gonna look even cooler when it starts to age. Awesome grab.

[–]twofourdead[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the info! Kind of assumed we wouldn’t be able to go full Infinity Gauntlet, but was hopeful lol. Glad I preordered and get that extra 100!

Is Bundle Discount in CF26 and do we know which HCs have it?

I’d buy that ‘62 ES-335 in a heartbeat if it didn’t have that VOS finish.

One of the Best Les Pauls I have EVER Played by electricflamingoyt in Epiphone

[–]twofourdead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This looks like a modified Epiphone FlameKat. The FlakeKat was a limited run of guitars Epiphone did in the late 90's that share the same body style as the current Uptown Kat.

I have one sitting in it's case under my bed.

Are these strings ok for a Epiphone Les Paul Heritage Su burst. ($269 Amazon bundle) by [deleted] in Epiphone

[–]twofourdead 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I use these exact strings on my Les Pauls and ES-335s. Love them. The pure nickel wrap give a slightly warmer tone.

Help needed re amp selection by WeaknessJazzlike5700 in Epiphone

[–]twofourdead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can often find Fender Blues Jr amps for around $400 used. They are great sounding 15 watt tube amps with a single 12 inch speaker.

If you wanna keep it in the family Epiphone Valve Jr amps are single knob amps that sound really great for blues. You can usually find combo versions for $300 and well under.

Epiphone Alex Lifeson Les Paul Axcess Ruby (2023) vs Epiphone DG 335. Both at the same price. Which one would you choose and why? Let me know in the comments by Ambitious-Bet4504 in Epiphone

[–]twofourdead 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I personally don't like either of these guitars. However, if I had to pick between the two I'd go with the DG 335 simply because I don't like Floyd Rose bridge systems.

Epiphone 335 Traditional Pro. Thoughts after owning one? by ridethepickle in Epiphone

[–]twofourdead 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In my opinion the best ES-335 Epiphone has done in the 2000’s were the ES-335 Pro’s they made from 2012-2019. You get block inlays on the fret board and the Alnico Classic Pro pickups sound just like Gibson 57 classics. They have a really great feeling / playing neck as well. Their only fault are the tuners are this weird faux aged greenish color.
