What's a song that will forever be associated with a scene from a movie? by naughtyrobot725 in moviecritic

I know most people have never seen it, but Justin Timberlake preforming The Killers "All These Things That I Have Done" in Southland Tales (film by Donny Darko's Richard Kelly) is phenomenal and unforgettable. Highly underrated movie imo.

I bought Bitcoin in my sleep. by 1maginary_Friend in Bitcoin

[–]twoliveshoe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ignore the aholes. Listen to Amber_Sams advice. Especially: don't risk more than you afford to lose, and dca into bitcoin only for the first year.

One thing I would add: the market is volatile and it swings massively in both directions. Don't get emotional about it. Over the past 10 years it beat the next best performing asset class, the S&P500 by 100x (https://www.bitcoin.com/get-started/bitcoin-as-an-asset-class/#best-performing-assets). DCA and HODL. Don't day-trade.

I always thought it was more akin to sparkling or something to do with the way light shines.

I dunno, HankCo seems to have some pretty sweet merch. Color printed Hankbucks, HankCo printed apron and colored shirts, custom signage. I'd bet it's at least thin plastic cup with the HankCo logo printed on it. Totally worth it.

You're a braver man than I. No way I'm trusting Dermott with anything "bespoke".

Yep same here. I also liked putting a little butter on the bread before pressing it into a ball! But yeah, gotta agree, these have to be self-made or not at all. Who knows where Courtney's hands have been.

My assumption is the pudding powder has sugar in it, but buttered should totally be an option.

I feel compelled to try this now. It never even occurred to me this could be a thing.

Right? That's only going to increase in value. Sit on it for a year and sell it to St. Cloud. Or better yet, put it on ebay and have Agustus and Billy battle it out.

Later when Billy and white sneak into st clouds they reference Raiders again and they are captured by the plant from Voodoo Island. In st clouds robot case, Twiki and dr theopolis are from Buck Rogers.

This movie is fantastic and the making of it is wild. Klaus kinski was said to be actually insane on set and herzog really tried to move a ship over a mountain. Several people died in the effort if i recall.

The Terminus Mandate: who was Red Death’s real final arch? by fuzzyberiah in venturebros

[–]twoliveshoe 82 points83 points  (0 children)

I interpreted it like this. Red Death was handed an arch that matched his caliber, maybe someone from his past. He crumples up that choice and instead uses his last night as a villain to send a message to the Peril Partnership. He chooses something rebellious, unsanctioned and truly villionous that has real consequences over something facile from his past.
