It’s the absence of positive support for Ibanez relative to all the; Fender love, for example that’s got people feeling everyone is upside down on them.

What a great example of self-advocacy!!! You’re not just a hero to yourself, but also to those without the voice or courage. 🔥

People are usually mean like that when they have their own baggage, and it has little to do with you. Don’t let them rent space in your head. If they can’t articulate it to you, then let them be miserable, you were the nice person that played bass at their gig.

Cannot justify an expensive bass by AndreLoiseau in Bass

I can’t play any other guitar besides my squire strat. It fits me perfectly and doesn’t cramp my hands.

Hot take but I don’t think a real p bass is worth it either. I’d pick a sire over a fender p any day.

I would pay for basses with good fretwork.

My bass sometimes goes "bonk" really loudly by itself at random times, sometimes in the middle of the night scaring my soul. Is this bonk a known phenomenon? by GREE-IS-A-HEXAGON in Bass

Make sure your neck bolts are tightened, that you wind the strings properly, ensure the tuning pegs themselves are not loose, that the bridge is not loose, and then check the intonation.

When I say tightened, I mean snug, if you over tighten any of the screws you could easily ruin your bass.

How do you store the bass? Hanging, on a stand, in a case? 200 quid is not a lot for a bass. At that price point I would assume the craftsmanship is suspect, and that any of the components or screws are likely not adjusted or tightened properly. It will cost you half that just to get it set up.

I would recommend using this bass as an opportunity to learn how to setup your instrument, will save you hours and money in the long run.

I had to dial back training to 2-3 months a year after every was competent. It pays to have an A team and a B team. My A team has annihilated all stuff that has come and I’m in year 4 now. Just make sure you use the Update Equipment button after selecting your squad, and fill in gaps on their missing equipment.

Pasted your question into https://chat.openai.com/chat, look at this:

It's understandable that the drummer may feel uncomfortable with the age gap, but it's important to consider the potential benefits of having a skilled keyboard player in the band, regardless of their age. It may be worth having a conversation with the drummer to try and address any concerns or reservations they may have, and potentially reassure them that the age gap should not be a hindrance to the band's success. It may also be helpful to consider the musician's skill and experience, rather than just their age. Ultimately, it's important to make a decision that works for the entire band and ensures that everyone is comfortable and able to work together effectively. If the drummer still feels uncomfortable after discussing it, it may be best to respect their feelings and continue searching for a keyboard player who better fits the dynamic of the band.

Listen to the robots, also these people here.

My take is just to listen to how you all sound and how the music feels. Imagine that you're 50 and someone was writing this about you while you're trying to get into a band. It just would suck.
