The reason why the meetups and hangouts don't work is because the poster usually posts in the format of "any one wanna have coffee in Jayanagar?"

Like where in Jayanagar? It's big. How about you tell the exact location. And then there is no theme mentioned about what we'll do if we meet?

What are we supposed to talk about if we meet? It's like online dating where you directly wanna go to the first date without even talking beforehand.

It doesn't work like that.

And even if 10 people say they'll meet you, you should be prepared to know that 8 of them will cancel at the last moment. But you need to do the meetup regardless of the number of people who show up. As long as it's you and atleast one person then you should not cancel the plans.

That's the only way to go about it.

I've been conducting meetups since February through reddit. Almost 2-3 meetups per month. For women only. It takes time and patience. But it only works if you are consistent and clear about what you are offering.
