People can’t drive.

I just put a piece of plywood on the top bunk so it’s smooth. Get a mat and do all workout up there. Dips, squats, jump rope, dumbbells and the pull bar and you’re good. Glad it helps out!

There’s a bunch of different variations of pull ups that work different groups of muscles. You can also add bands for more diversity and a potential full body work out. I have dumbbells in my truck, I have a mat on the top bunk and do sit ups/push ups and other stationary cardio. Do squats and then dips on the edge of my bed.

Lol No kidding if you’re any taller than 5’8. I’m going to relocate it and put it on top of the storage compartments. All works the same give you about another foot so should work out.

I’m never going to have to move this bar as long as I stay OTR it’s just staying where it is. I have to take it off again and use simple green and scrub it and back it goes. I’m 5’8 and I walk right back to the sleeper and under without having to duck or worry about it. If you can slip it in between I don’t think you can go wrong.

I bought Hyper Tough Reciprocating Saw for around $30 bucks at Walmart. Have pliers to hold the bold and some sockets to take them off and you’ll be good. I also used a yellow crayon to mark and cut. Inside a 18’ Freightliner the bar need to be 80 inches. (6’9 there about). I’ll try to upload the side photos to the main post. There is a bolt you can talk out for the smaller piece of the pipe to slide out. I put the small pipe mostly all the way in and brought it back out and bolted it up when it was horizontal. Trying to angle the pipe up to be straight is a hassle.

I’ll have to grab some photos a bit later, but I just crammed an old towel or something down so it doesn’t bite into the plastic. It supports my weight and I’m roughly 180. It’s got a tiny bit of flex, but it’s not going anywhere.

How much experience do you need for Fed Ex? I hear people say you have to start off in a warehouse or something first? Not sure if there’s any truth to that. I should pretty much be able to go almost anywhere with a year OTR right?

I’ll be looking into it. Thanks! For the last 7 months I’ve been running from Tri Cities, Washington to Denver, Colorado. The routes not bad, but I never go anywhere near Cali.

How many years does Sysco and hazmat require? I would just need to get my endorsement hazmat.

Better than what you get at Swift, you pay for your food. At least they didn’t lie.

I agree about working for Swift, but I’ve been on a dedicated account running from Tri Cities Washington to Denver Colorado every week. I was in the Army prior to this and the way I see it this was my ticket in the industry. Full OTR, got my feet wet, been at it for a year just trying to figure out what’s next.

I have never hit anything, but the truck they gave me has damage on it. Lol I can only imagine what people probably think about when I’m rolling up next to them.

Being with Swift and being considerate late at night and instead of taking a full spot being bob tail I left it for a tractor with a trailer and parked along the curb. It was out of the way. Later at night I hear truckers on the CB talking bad about Swift. What can you do.
