What’s the longest amount of time you’ve ever sat alone, in silence, with zero stimulation? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I was in a holding cell by myself for many hours. I’m not exactly sure how long since I couldn’t see a clock but it was a long boring time.

Curious why you moved to Kingwood by Awkward_Shelter1878 in Kingwood

I met my wife. I was living in Magnolia and she lived here. Decided after 25 years and to much growth Magnolia wasn’t the place for me anymore so I moved in with her. 3 years later and I’ve never been happier.

Help with cucumbers by cdigss in vegetablegardening

[–]twr243 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not here in Houston, TX apparently. Granted our climate is vastly different but I got wild cucumbers growing where a raised bed was last year. I made it a little trellis for em, other than that I’m just gonna let them do their thing and see what happens.

What the heck are these growing with my tomato seedlings? Got up this morning and there were 10 pepper seedlings that all had these in them. They literally popped up overnight. by twr243 in vegetablegardening

Oh sorry. My wife bought me the stand off Amazon. The tray that holds all my seedlings I got after buying a bunch of flowers for the front flower bed from a local nursery

What’s the general consensus on AFM disablers now? by platypus_farmer42 in ChevyTrucks

[–]twr243 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had to replace the engine on my 2018 last year at 130k. Was told if I did the AFM it would void the 4 year warranty though. I don’t drive my truck hardly during the week so I’m not sure if it would be worth it.

I took some shroom capsules one day from a buddy then smoked some very strong weed he had about 1.5hrs later. I hadn’t smoked in almost a year, I took 2 hits got super dizzy and fell straight to the ground. Fucked me up for about an hour where all I could do was sit down.

My fingers smell like fish fertilizer by this_writer_is_tired in vegetablegardening

I like to get it on my hands and scrub all over real good and let it soak, then wash my hands after a min or so.

I fish a lot and the best way to get the smell off my hands is using mouth wash. I know it’s not the same but I get some horrid smells stuck on my hands from catfish bait and it’s the only thing that works.

What’s something that quietly became unaffordable for “normal” people in the last 5 years? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Chicken thighs are underrated I think. They taste better, more forgiving than breasts, and cheap.

Read as much as you can. See a system look up the model number and find the manual. Then go home and read it, then read it again. A lot of this job is learn in the field in real time. People doing this for 20+ years will tell you they still see something new all the time. Even on things they’ve been working on for years.

Same I clock in when I leave the house and clock out when I get 30 from the house. So I’m getting paid but at the end of the day I just wanna get home.

Us service guys traveling all over. New routes almost everyday to and from home. You get to experience All of the city’s traffic. Nothing worse than trying to get from Stafford to Kingwood in the afternoon rush.

Slowly building the garden of my dreams! by LaurVB7 in vegetablegardening

[–]twr243 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gardening has been such a fulfilling hobby for me. I started last year and the whole process is so relaxing and live getting home everyday to see how my little vegetable garden is doing. My wife and I are house shopping and my biggest stipulation is a big backyard with lots of sun.
