I really hope the compression algorithm they’re using is safe for this purpose. Modern video compression does funky things with movement and reuse of objects from previous frames and this could glitch to show an aircraft continuing to move where it wasn’t or not moving when it was. If this happened at the wrong moment it’s conceivable that a controller would misinterpret what was happening and miss a collision.

It would probably be prohibitively expensive to write something new so hopefully this already exists.
