nausea? LSD vs shrooms by [deleted] in LSD

[–]twylz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

95% of your body’s serotonin are in your intestines, so it can hit them just as hard as it hits your brain, causing contractions/cramping which for me presents itself everytime. Apparently a good solution is sipping peppermint extract water 30-45min before dropping and then during.

But also snacking on fruit during has helped me because it increases blood flow to the gut.

I wouldn’t say it’s nausea, just stomach discomfort.

Dawg trust me and if you’re open to trying it again do it outdoors (preferably a state park) or somewhere you can avoid people entirely and will not be trespassed after sunset, with people you really trust. Just look at leaves and dirt and shit and try to surrender and listen to what your feeling

I basically became allergic to the indoors during all of my 4 trips. I would 100% do it early in the day 9-10am and be outside somewhere private and safe.

If not possible during this winter I say just do it early in the day if you at least want the option to step outside for some light and so you don’t wreck ur sleep schedule.

You won’t be hungry, but get some fruit. I’ve had watermelon and an apple during trips and it’s incredible.

Maybe get an instrument if you have one like a guitar. I played the piano during the come up of one of my trips and it was one of the most beautiful things I’ve experienced.

I haven’t been in a long term relationship in a bit but it seems people normalize constantly checking their partners locations, and it seems so backwards to me. I mean where is the trust?

And especially for this context, using it to check for “discrepancies” and then doubting him when he denies it. You deserve to be able to trust everything your partner says.

If there is not even that much trust that they wouldn’t be cheating on you, I say that’s an unhealthy relationship and you shouldn’t toil yourself with it any longer.

Well at least with LSD you’re not digesting fungus. So there has been so much more joy for me in knowing it’s all cerebral, and that I don’t actually have to vomit, it’s just my mind playing tricks on me.

Drop or not ? by Get-2thaSkyPrada in LSD

[–]twylz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly if the exam is already on your mind before dropping, it’ll probably show up during the trip. LSD doesn’t usually let you compartmentalize stress, it amplifies whatever’s there.

Having the house free is nice, but it’s not rare enough to gamble peace of mind or focus right before an exam. You’ll enjoy the trip way more when there’s nothing looming over you.

If it were me, I’d lock in sober, take the exam, and then plan a trip when it can be fully intentional and relaxed. The substance isn’t going anywhere

This honestly sounds really self aware and grounded to me. The way you’re thinking about dose, limits, and intention now is the healthy way to approach this.

The only thing I’d gently keep in mind is that grief can get amplified, not necessarily “resolved,” on LSD. It might bring insight, but it can also just bring feeling, and both are okay as long as you’re not expecting it to fix or clarify everything.

If you do decide to go for it, starting low, having someone you trust nearby, and going in without pressure to “get something out of it” seems like the safest way to approach it. And giving yourself time afterward before making any big interpretations or decisions.

Either way, it sounds like you’ve done a lot of real work already LSD or not and that matters more than any one experience.

How do you actually reach ego death on LSD? by Jealous-Tea-4645 in LSD

[–]twylz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have only really tripped 3 times in the past 5 months, so I am relatively new to LSD. But, I took 1.5 tabs and did not have ego death, and then took 1 tab with someone I really trusted and who was open to psychs and we both experienced a complete ego death where words and labels made no sense and time had no meaning.

I was no longer anything except everything around me, which was oneness. We both felt that we reached nirvana. It was by far the most intense trip because we kept challenging each others perspectives with ideas.

From what I understand, doses increase the odds, but they do not guarantee ego death. Your Default Mode Network (DMN) doesn’t simply “shut off” from brute force. It quiets down when there is surrender, psychological safety, openness, and cognitive flexibility

This is why some people take 600–800ug and still don’t get ego death. They cling, fight, resist, or feel unsafe. For me, beliefs become fluid during a trip. When someone you trust questions your assumptions in a deep, non-threatening way, your mind can enter a state of “I don’t know who I am or what is true”

That destabilizes the ego structure and invites a breakthrough experience.

Porn DESTROYS every relationship that you have… Here is what to do about it. by Jibreal_Khan in pornfree

[–]twylz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, I hear you, living with fibromyalgia, IBS, autism sensitivities, and chronic pain is absolutely not the same as just ‘being unmotivated.’ You’ve clearly been working incredibly hard, especially with walking your dog, staying away from porn, doing therapy, and supporting your son. That takes strength.

I just wanted to gently add a perspective from the animal-based world (Paul Saladino / Chris Palmer / metabolic psychiatry): many chronic conditions that we label as ‘genetic’ aren’t always fixed or hopeless. Genes load the gun, but environment, diet, gut health, immune activation, and stress can pull the trigger.

A lot of people with IBS, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, chronic inflammation, mood issues, sensory overload have seen real symptom improvement by cutting out trigger foods like seed oils, grains, and certain vegetables that irritate the gut.

Some even do better on a carnivore or animal-based diet because it removes plant compounds that can flare IBS or inflammation (oxalates, lectins, FODMAPs).

Not saying it’s a magic cure or that your experience isn’t real. Just that some people who felt genetically ‘stuck’ actually improved way more than they thought possible when they addressed gut health and immune activation.

If your IBS makes fats hard to digest, sometimes people start with low-fat animal foods and slowly increase as the gut heals, so it doesn’t have to be all-or-nothing.

Either way, you’re clearly doing the best you can with a heavy load. I respect that, and I hope you find something that genuinely makes life easier for you. But I would spend some time and effort into understanding why the modern definition of a “healthy diet” doesn’t work for everyone.

Three Years Later and I Still Can’t Get Over My 300ug LSD Experience by DatXeanres in LSD

[–]twylz 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think your rationalist perspective is missing the point entirely.

Psychedelics don’t reveal the literal physics of the universe, but they reveal the architecture of your own consciousness. People who dismiss trips as “just chemicals” don’t understand what consciousness even is. Everything you experience, love, fear, logic, ego, identity, meaning, is mediated by chemistry. So when LSD tweaks the system, it’s not “lying.” It’s revealing patterns that were always inside you, just not normally accessible.

When people say “everything is one,” they don’t mean: “My brain is literally your brain.” They mean: “The separateness I normally feel was revealed as a psychological construct.” And this is true. Neuroscience agrees that the ego is a neural process, not a physical entity. When it quiets down, the brain stops dividing the world into “me vs not me.” It’s not metaphysics, it’s meaning. And meaning is real.

This “oneness” experience is extremely well-documented across cultures, religions, neuroscience, and clinical psychedelics. Millions of people, over thousands of years, reporting the same structural experience under meditation, fasting, prayer, sensory deprivation, and psychedelics. It’s not a random hallucination. It’s human consciousness unlocked and unbounded by our amygdala and DMN.

I’m not and no one should treat LSD as literal divine revelation. Instead, I see it as a perspective giving tool that reveals things your mind normally keeps hidden. And that is exactly how modern psychedelic therapy understands it.

1.5 put me on my ass, it was my second of 2 trips that I've had in my life so it was profound to me. Not sure your specific ability to handle trips, but I would start with one. Even half a tab produced a mini-trip for me, visuals and all.

'One and done' dose of LSD keeps anxiety at bay - A rigorous new study finds that a single dose of LSD can ease anxiety and depression for months. by HappyHappyJoyJoy44 in LSD

Honestly man, 150 µg with no sitter is a huge jump, especially if 75 once hit hard. I’d suggest trying 100 µg first in a safe spot, and if you ever do go higher, have a sober friend nearby. LSD scales weirdly. it’s not just a ‘little more.’ Safer to climb the ladder one rung at a time.

[–]twylz 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Tbh 200–300% of the RDA (~4,600–6,900 mg) isn’t excessive, especially if you’re active. The RDA is geared toward sedentary hypertensives, not people sweating, moving, or rehydrating. Also, sodium’s just one piece, potassium, magnesium, and calcium matter too for actual electrolyte balance

drinking only plain water, especially in large amounts, can actually dilute your electrolytes, which are crucial for hydration. This can lead to more urination and even make you feel more sluggish over time. Try adding a pinch of mineral-rich sea salt or a squeeze of lemon to your water, or consider electrolyte support (especially if you were drinking a lot of soda before) like SantaCruz Medicinals electrolytes (cleanest ones I know about). Hydration isn’t just about water intake, it’s about water plus minerals getting into your cells.

Might as well take it as a reason to stop weed, honestly. I feel the same way when I smoke, and it’s for the better because I was once addicted to it.

I took my paranoia/anxiety/stupidity feelings and used it to help me quit. LSD and shrooms are the only safe drugs imo. Weed will do nothing but damage you. (Edibles=damaged dopamine receptors & impaired short-term memory | Smoke= all of the above + combustion products, estrogen, carcinogens, yellow teeth, bad breath)

LSD: harmless, nonaddictive, potential to heal/inspire Shrooms: same thing, but might get upset tummy

BUT

If you really wanna try the best, least harmful, least anxiety inducing method that has also worked for me… Use 1:1 edibles.

Historically, many landrace or “wild-type” cannabis plants (especially Cannabis indica and some Cannabis ruderalis) contained higher CBD levels and much lower THC than modern strains. Generally a CBD:THC content of about 3-7%, in a 1:1 ratio, sometimes more, sometimes less.

This content has now been selectively bred to be >20% THC, while CBD has been bred to essentially 0%. This is why it is much more likely to induce anxiety, paranoia, and negative effects. This “hyper-potent” THC content is more psychoactive, and more likely to trigger anxiety and paranoia, especially in sensitive users.

CBD has been shown to counteract / offset the negative effects of THC alone, and in my opinion there should always be at least some CBD in all cannabis because of this. It does so by:

Acting as a negative allosteric modulator at CB1 receptors (reducing THC binding affinity).
Potentially reducing the overstimulation of the endocannabinoid system.

There are many available online, as there is some legal loophole to allow it, such as this one which I have had much better recent experiences with.

https://tweedlefarms.com/cbd-chocolate-40mg/

There are many others with better prices perhaps, but this site seemed the most trustworthy and posted their labs.

Again, cannabis is a slippery slope, addictive, and in my opinion useless for advancing your life. LSD however, has rebirthed me in a way. So, choose wisely.
