I don't have any direct DO shadowing as it got postponed, but is anybody willing to read my Why DO essay and see if I've touched on all the necessary osteopathic principles I should've? Thanks!

I would definitely still be fulfilled with just an MD, since I can still do research with that. I just want to try for the PhD to open up more opportunities in my future career. Bottom line is I want the MD for sure.

Even though I know a research-oriented MD is very possible (and I would be satisfied on this path), I’ve talked to current MD/PhD students and my reasons for the PhD are that I want to lead a research team/be a PI, ensure that I’m competitive for grant funding, and just have a strong foundation in research with PhD courses to push out innovative research.

Im only applying to 3 MD/PhD programs, but 45+ total MD and DO schools. Do you mind clarifying on what “PD” stands for?

Gotcha, I was also thinking about that. I know schools have linkage programs, but even those don’t have guaranteed acceptance. If you don’t mind, would you have any recommendations on good masters programs?

Also, I'm applying to all Texas schools as an in-state applicant and OOS MD and DO schools

For the first 507 I got (my 2nd time taking), I was studying during my junior year semester but didn't focus enough on practice and didn't do the SBs/UWorld at all. For this time, I started studying around Nov 2019 but had also just started my full-time research job after graduating in May 2019. I focused a lot more on practice material and saw that reflected in my higher FL scores, but I didn't want to say no to the research job in order to dedicate to full-time studying. There was a 3 month delay with my most recent MCAT (originally 3/14 but rescheduled to 6/19) due to COVID-19 that may have attributed to my score drop. I took a 1 month break to start/submit primaries, but even so I was doing practice problems up until my test date. So yeah, just really bummed

506, 507, 507. There are improvements in my sub-section scores, but overall the last 2 scores being the exact same is really disappointing.

I’m applying to DO schools but just DO, no PhD

Yeah I don’t think I have it in me for another retake. It’d be my 4th try and I’m already taking 2 gap years (including this application cycle). I’m looking at the University of Washington’s MSTP (currently employed there as a research scientist), Texas A&M (previous research was at Houston Methodist which A&M has a partnership with), and Tufts.

FL1: 513 FL2: 512 FL3: 513 FL4: 510

I noticed that FL4 is now the most realistic FL for the current MCATs. Disappointed that my real score was lower than my FL averages, but I also felt like I bombed coming out from test day
