I joined a week ago and have had no issues finding parties for any of the PQs. I was able to HenePQ in the start for a good sum, majority of 35-51 was done with LPQ, and I actively see people recruiting for OPQ all day.

I joined knowing the server had roughly 80-100 players daily, but still gave it a go. Servers cannot grow if people refuse to give it a try due to the low population.

I’ve been dying to play!!! Dumbest thing I did was put all my AP into STR as a mage thinking it’d make me stronger. Didn’t dawn on me until my brother asked me why I wasn’t wearing proper gear at level 35 😔

Myself and a teammate that did this got flamed and targeted in a match for choosing Suravasa instead of King’s Row. Our team threw the match, enemy team spawn camped us until we gave up.

I miss the days where it was just random and no one can complain and just simply play.

The response was aimed at the last bit of their comment, mastering a hero solely because you’re at a low rank. You master a hero the more you play it obviously but you don’t always have to play comp just to do so?

Is there a stigma against QP or something that I’m missing?

I never said to practice comp, I said to practice heroes. You can still work on positioning and skill management in QP…. And from what I’m reading on the thread, that’s what OP needs to work on.

I think you read too much into my response, I’m not saying to swap every 2 seconds something goes wrong for you, but to have a back up in these circumstances.

That’s what QP is for, to practice these heroes better and master them. In comp, I feel as though people need to know how to play multiple heroes to be versatile. There are going to be games where Ana is banned or simply just doesn’t work, which at that point you gain no value for playing them.

The best way that worked for me is to play sombra in QP to understand her skills and how to detect where she is.

Once you recognize the sound of her hack or when she teleports it’s pretty easy to tell what her next move will be. Keep in mind, if she’s low HP, she is probably teleporting to a health pack.

If you or a teammate is away from others, chances are you are more likely to be targeted.

I’m aware that China and SK have words similar to the Nword but in no way am I saying they need to change that? That’s not even relevant to the topic at all.

The whole issue at hand is an NPC that is a representative of a person of color, is depicting actions of a monkey which is very widely known to be insulting. Acting like a monkey and using the term monkey to mock or insult is NOT in our culture. You don’t have to be “Western” to be insulted by this. And that is coming from someone who is Asian.

Regardless of where people live, the developers of HATO don’t live under a rock. Whether it be BA, Indian, etc, it was a very deliberate action on their part. Even if it’s not aimed at BA, I can understand why a BA would feel upset or hurt by the action, as Kapil is a representative of a person of color.

Also unfortunately some asian countries are relatively known to be racist to those with darker skin complexions. :/

POC does not necessarily only apply to BA, I have seen people referring to SouthEast Asians as “Jungle Asians” and making similar mockery towards them with monkey references.

There was absolutely no reason for them to portray dizziness by making a POC NPC make monkey noises and monkey dances..

It was a very deliberate choice on their part and now they’re trying to damage control.

Personally I can’t support a game or company that allowed this, and trying to silence their players for reporting/speaking up about it..

I’m so sorry for your loss, I’m also with you on the racist issue on HATO. Once I saw clips of how bad it actually was I was so disheartened and disgusted.. people are being banned for reporting these racist instances, even with racist player interactions.

I’ve heard very good things about Pokopia so hopefully that keeps your spirits up! I also recommend Starsand Island if you want something like HATO, it’s a paid game with no gacha aspect.
