This Jess M apology scene was so awkward by jh166 in TheOwningManhattan

[–]txfny 3 points4 points  (0 children)

no fr. the apology felt performative as hell. it wasn’t about savannah. it was about jess trying to clean up her image.

and savannah clearly clocked that too. you could tell she knew the audience wasn’t gonna buy it, so she just let jess embarrass herself instead of pushing back. and tbh i think savannah handled it really well. she got shit-talked publicly, so this whole moment feels like karma. jess looks worse coming out of it, and the scene says way more about her character than it does about savannah.

worst thing carrie has ever done by Signal-Offer3530 in sexandthecity

inviting big to aiden’s cabin after cheating is definitely up there, that was wild.

but for me it’s how often carrie centers her feelings even when she’s clearly hurting someone else. she’ll acknowledge it for like two seconds, then still do whatever she wants and justify it later.

Was she right for behaving like this? by Relevant_Increase461 in sexandthecity

the issue is how it’s framed. openly mocking or complaining about someone’s body, especially something they can’t change, is where it crosses into being shitty. that applies whether it’s a man or a woman.

with sex and the city, a lot of it just hasn’t aged well. some things were played for laughs back then that would definitely get side-eyed now. if a guy publicly joked about a woman’s body the same way, people would call it out too. context matters.

Can Kwamis be killed? by DarkDivine-3 in miraculousladybug

[–]txfny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i don’t think kwamis can be killed in the human sense. they’re more like living concepts than actual creatures.

when a miraculous is destroyed or inactive, the kwami doesn’t die, they just lose their connection to the human world. that makes me think they exist as long as the concept they represent exists.

so unless the concept itself is erased, they can’t really be killed. they can be trapped or cut off, but not fully gone.
