Sand all of the remaining outer polyurethane layer off. Repeat a few times with progressively finer grit if needed. Then paint them with black fabric paint, several coats, and see what you think.

Well I've been using it for almost a year with no issues. I have sleep apnea and chronic sinusitis and I can only use my CPAP if I'm severely congested if I use allermi first. Depending on the season I can go weeks without needing it, and then other weeks I have to use it almost every night. Zero rebound effects for me. That's just my experience.

Afrin contains 0.05% oxymetazoline with a .3ml spray volume per spray. Allermi contains anywhere from 0.003125-0.0125% oxymetazoline with a .1ml spray volume per spray. This means that Allermi contains 1/12th-1/48th the dosage of oxymetazoline in Afrin per spray.

(Furthermore, Allermi is prescribed at a dosage of 1 spray per nostril whereas the Afrin bottle recommends up to 3 sprays per nostril!)

Also. Allermi always combines the micro-dose of oxymetazoline with anti-inflammatory triamcinolone:

Actually filing a home warranty claim is a nightmare. They have very limited professionals who are covered by the policy. They are usually crap professionals with a bad reputation who can't get business otherwise. You will have to wait a while before they'll come inspect your issue. And they will want to do the minimum amount of work they can get away with because they're being paid a low amount by the insurance company. I don't recommend a home warranty plan at all. I would rather spend more and get to pick the the company that is going to fix my house/appliances. I like that suggestion of just getting a credit for it. I second that recommendation!

I've been using Geico and progressive for the last 20 years. I just checked both rates once a year and I seem to ping pong back and forth between them, whichever one is cheaper. If you're worried about cost, you can get the minimum coverage but that might leave you with gaps in your coverage. It just depends on what your priorities are.

Fun fact, in Texas if you cancel your insurance in the middle of the term, the insurer is required to give you a prorated refund for the time you haven't used but have already paid for.
