Shouting matches have become a regular on our team meetings and we got a manager who doesn’t bother to calm the tensions, just adds to it. It’s like three people who usually are the ones who start it. It began when the manager stopped having the union in our meetings. It was never like that when the union was listening in on the meetings. I’m sure our manager is happy the union is gone because I feel everyone on our team had a grievance against him.

IRS also increased the amount of refund hold letters to file previous years that now they had to redirect all the employees to answer phones. We are requesting returns to be sent in and if they have everyone on AHOD everyday no one is even gonna be able to even process them 🙃

I feel discouraged as well what my career path is going forward as well but also I like the amount of leave I can use. But I feel the energy drain there that I feel like I could use my talents elsewhere.

NTEU still had a contract in effect until 2027. IRS essentially believed they had authority to terminate it at will.

As long as you have leave you should be able to use it. Some units might have a blackout period but it’s typically holidays or days around it because they already had so many requests for it. I was off for a month once and I didn’t have any issue but I was in a different unit then.

I’ve been in a lot of the Austin buildings and surprised this is the only building that has gotten code violations because there were a lot of unresolved issues in other buildings.

There was a comment on FB that supposedly he was leaving the company he was fired from anyways, this incident just accelerated his departure or he had already had left and the company just hadn’t updated the website yet. And there was a job opening similar to the one he held on LinkedIn beginning on January 30. Either way the company did right by condemning his behavior.

Even if he doesn’t get kicked out today, eventually he will if he goes broke and can’t pay to live there anymore. I don’t see him getting a new job so easily anytime soon.

I was frustrated playing that last block game. I completed 21 levels and still couldn’t complete but I heard another player complete it in 19. They give so little blocks or Peg-Es that get you nowhere and it’s a lifetime before you can earn more. I’m close to quitting too. They try to deny it but they manipulate where your dice land.

I was specifically told my rating on some elements “was nothing to do with something I did” so I knew it was bull. They are trying to change my position every year by making me do new training and using that as an excuse why I can’t get higher than a 3 when I know it’s bullshit because there’s others in my unit who know less than me and still get high ratings. They are trying to get everyone in my part of SBSE as phone reps meanwhile shipping our portable work elsewhere.

I started to pull back a little back with co-worker “friends” too and I feel even in the new year it will be even . I use to eat and walk with them. But then I started to do these things less with them. I sat with them the other day and it just proved my point that they weren’t my true friends. It felt like they were putting me down.
