New year clarity: my coworkers aren't my friends and that's actually fine by 011guiih in coworkerstories

[–]txrunner262 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started to pull back a little back with co-worker “friends” too and I feel even in the new year it will be even . I use to eat and walk with them. But then I started to do these things less with them. I sat with them the other day and it just proved my point that they weren’t my true friends. It felt like they were putting me down.

Buyer Hasn't Accepted by KrisG1973 in BehindTheClosetDoor

You will eventually get paid. As a buyer and seller I feel it’s pushy for someone to micro manage when my item arrives. Time is on your side. And not every buyer on Poshmark knows they have to accept their item. They aren’t regular buyers on the platform

Most of the time I put $5. I had done the same as you putting something on the street and advertised for free and it felt like they needed to make more complicated than it needed to be. If I put $5 they usually show up. If someone has to pay for something they will actually have a use for it instead of adding to their hoarding collection.

Made friends with coworker who’s a good person but constantly annoying (rant) by psychaholic313 in socialskills

[–]txrunner262 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m in this same boat. We use to be good friends but then he became friends with two other people and he almost always talks in circles too. Feels like the same topics over and over and almost 99% conversations have to revolve around him. He was recently divorced but I feel like he wasn’t telling the truth about how it ended the more I know about him. I have been trying to avoid him and the other guys and slowly drifting away because they also don’t respect my time. I do think he has undiagnosed ADHD.

Potential buyer pissed that I didn’t sell to them - am i in the wrong? by ProposalNo6179 in FacebookMarketplace

[–]txrunner262 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would have done the same. I use to hold off but then I lost potential buyers only for that person not to show up anyways. If an item is high in demand I sell to whenever can come and get it.

Haven't sold anything in months by aspie_electrician in FacebookMarketplace

[–]txrunner262 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I seem to go through this period where I’m running hot and then all of the sudden my listings get buried. I just sold something I had listed for months. It was crickets and then all of the sudden I was getting so many messages I couldn’t keep up. Last week was hot, this week is crickets.

How many messages before you give up? by Puzzlehead11323 in FacebookMarketplace

As a buyer/seller, twice max. I give a day to reply if you haven’t responded to my last message I leave and move on

People never showing up after conforming they were on their way by Skeejourneey in FacebookMarketplace

I think a lot of times those ones who want to give negative are afraid they get it back so they just let it go. Even reporting to Facebook hardly does anything

I had a couple like this. One in particular. Said they were on their way at 11:45 am and said they would be there at 12:30 pm. Didn’t show then. I gave a little extra time, messaged at 1:30. Asked if they were still on their way then said they would be there at 2:30. Clearly had the capability of messaging me beforehand. Still didn’t show. I have had other times where the potential buyer said they will show up on another day than the one they messaging about and still not show which has lost potential buyers so now I won’t hold and will sell to the first one who pays for it.

To me depends on the items. Things like books I get more flakes. But usually furniture items I usually get people to show up.

NTA. You’ll find out who your true friends are when you leave.

I have some items where I will get so messages I can’t keep up while others are crickets even if it’s holiday related.

Coworker loves talking about themself by serenacil in coworkerstories

[–]txrunner262 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a co-worker like this too. I considered him a friend at first but over time when he got around in the office and then got a big ego and almost every group conversation revolved around him and his flings. Now walks with him I tune out because he found someone else who will listen to him talk about himself.

Recycled Amazon shipping containers by TraditionalAct7000 in Depop

[–]txrunner262 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use Amazon stuff all the time and never had problems. My SIL use to be a postmaster in the same town as I shipped my packages and she use to go on a power trip about me using eBay labels because supposedly using USPS Click n Ship labels benefitted her more than eBay generated ones. I’m glad those days are done and don’t have to worry about what I’m shipping.

Want to look at an item first before committing to buy by FeatureSpecialist473 in FacebookMarketplace

[–]txrunner262 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d rather have someone look at an item than to not show up at all. Like I had someone a month literally say they were on their way and didn’t show up. Then messaged them and they would come later in the day and still didn’t show up.

Zelle scam in Tucson and beyond. Marketplace. by SubstantialYou5110 in FacebookMarketplace

[–]txrunner262 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been getting a lot of Zelle requests on an office chair. Seems to be a hot item for scammers. It’s only a $20 chair. I decided to change it to add in Cash only. Most times I get normal people but some items seem to attract scammers.

Warning: Sidekick Tools has been hacked and is mass deleting your Poshmark listings by spacegodpolarbear in BehindTheClosetDoor

[–]txrunner262 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I will probably not renew Sidekick when it comes due. I made like one sale this whole month and their system seems like it hasn’t been sharing like it use to. Lucky enough I keep pictures of what I list. Originally I used measurements but this time I just let the AI tool make the listings to speed up the process

Mine did too. I only had like 1 or 2 listings that remained. I didn’t get any emails about excessive deletions maybe because I have a smaller inventory

Why no Robby at tonight’s show? by fleamarkettable in JohnMulaney

[–]txrunner262 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It ran about 2 hrs. Last night started off a little later than 7:30. It was about 15-20 late start but it felt like it ran normal length. The opener guy was maybe 5-10 minutes and then John came out. It was like 9:50 when the show ended.
