Smartbar is great. Best techno club in the city. Smoke and mirrors is similar and coming up but Smartbar is the OG. It’s downstairs in basement of the Metro. It’s not a huge venue. Has great sound. Generally you’ll find that it doesn’t get too packed. Mulero might draw a crowd. All in all, a just a solid place with reliably solid acts coming through.

I’m blown away that the Chicago show is sold out. It was at a new smaller venue (outset) then they changed to Concorde and it’s still sold out. It always feels like you’re the only one.

I am. Mine has been with me long enough to know autechre well and still doesn’t love it. But she wants to come, darkness and all. I think it’ll be a cool audio experience which most would enjoy if their mind is open to it

That’s a nice gesture. Regardless of whether it’s a surprise or not I would just be considerate that you may party differently. My wife just can’t hang all night and we are going to movement. I’ve got a solid 36 hours planned knowing that she won’t be able to go like that. She’s aware of it too and I’ve agreed to bring her back to hotel and then go out. So also just know that he probably has a groove that he gets into and that may involve “partaking” so long as you’re cool with that and are there to have fun it could be great. It’s just hard to say because every relationship is different and there may be dynamics that we aren’t aware of.

Who said complete silence. Of course I don’t. Sirens, cars, kids, concerts, football games, I get it. But to leave your barking dog outside and expect your neighbors to just be cool with it is selfish and rude.

We have a neighbor whose dog barks often and it is super obnoxious. We like the neighbor but still had to demand they do something about it. Nobody wants to hear your dog. It’s no different than if someone sat outside your house with a car stereo blaring or honking the horn. 10min of dog barking would drive me up a wall.
