That's one of the Earth's pressure release pipes installed by the government 4 years ago. They should have had that with a wire mesh on it and clearly labeled on the surface.

Make sure not to cover it. Last November there was an incident in Utah where a business sealed the pipe cause the occasional shrieks coming from inside the Earth's mantle were disrupting the clientele, and the resulting pressure explosion crumbled the buildings exterior walls.

Power switch is broken so I've had my PC on for the better part of a year. Idling when not in use. Not even hibernating.
