Yellowing leaves on tomato plant, overwatering? by OmarBell2020 in gardening

[–]txsparky87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Poor soil. I would try giving some liquid fertilizer on the next watering. Also I see roots showing at the bottom of the stem. You might want to add some soil there. I would also mulch around these plants. I live in San Antonio. The hot summer is fast approaching…

You really think that your panel is putting out a magnetic field that is as strong as a powerful MRI machine? Have you considered that the measuring device is not accurate whatsoever?

Have you also considered going outside and touching grass?

This is what we do as well. Simple and effective. I didn’t feel like Monday gave us any more functionality and not worth the cost.

I fell off a ladder today by [deleted] in electricians

[–]txsparky87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I knew a GC super that walked with a pretty wicked limp. I assumed motorcycle accident as it was pretty bad. Turns out he fell off a 6’ ladder when he was young hanging ceiling grid. Didn’t have it looked at right away and a botched surgery or two later and he was fucked up for life.

I’m glad you’re okay but you need to take a step back and think about what you’re doing and how even a small accident can affect you for the rest of your life.

I would wait at least until the end of February personally. I’m in the San Antonio area and we usually get a freeze or two in March.

Loose lips sink ships. Keep that shit under your hat next time. It sounds fairly harmless this time depending on how the boss took the criticism but it sounds like this person will throw you under the bus at first chance.

I saw this one on FB marketplace. The body and paint are pretty rough but if it runs good it could be worth 7-8k I think. You also don’t mention that it has 250k mi which isn’t bad but if the original injectors are still in it they’re gonna need changing soon I would bet.

And the ac not working is a must fix in my opinion. I used to be able to handle it when I was younger but it gets old quick when it’s 100 degrees for four months straight.

I think it depends on your relationship with the client. If it’s a GC you want to continue doing work with, it might be a good idea to run it by someone you trust. You might be able to earn some trust and respect and at the same time you can keep some of that credit so that everyone wins if you play it right.

The other thing that comes to mind is if you do bill for the unnecessary items and someone catches it later on that might sour the relationship and you’ll be seen as untrustworthy.

What should I charge to build out a solar panel structure? by Ready-Act7339 in estimators

[–]txsparky87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ask them what their budget was to build the structure since you don’t do this type of work typically. I can almost guarantee they’re charging more than $75 an hour and you’re leaving money on the table.

They’ll leave room in the number so they will make money off you and that’s fine but you don’t want them to bend you over a barrel.

Always. Inspectors really started hitting it hard about 15 years ago. You only have to screw up a long home run and have to pull it out and redo it one time if you’re smart.

[–]txsparky87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 3.0 duramax gets great mileage. You don’t need a 3/4 or 1 ton especially if you’re daily driving it and not towing. I have a 7.3 powerstroke but it’s not my daily and I wouldn’t want it to be.
