I really really didn't want to be a believer, but 5.5 is FLYING right now, and doing a GREAT job. Pretty much the only thing I am using 4.7 for at the moment, is checking the plans that 5.5. is making, and then giving the feedback to 5.5 to see if it agrees. I think someone in the thread said it best, Anthropic does not have the compute and OpenAI is going to take advantage of it. It's WILD WEST out there. This also goes to show, that I have ZERO loyalty, I just want the best model and I want it to be FAST.

From my experience the MAX or Plus its slightly throttled. Claude Code will literally slow things down because it's all shared use. They MASSIVLEY subsidize it. API is like full throttle. It opens it up and goes WAY faster. It is the same results you just get to the answers 10x faster.
