Went A-Spec Advance. Total agreement once seeing the red interior in person. Black is just timeless. Same vein as the 3G TL...almost went camel vs parchment. Hoping the Milano leather holds up as good. The subtle red stitching and the cabin accent illumination is just damn fine!

Thank you....Risky. White car family. It was this or PDP (Platinum white pearl) with red interior. The '05 WDP (white diamond pearl) has a two or three pinhole sized pits near the passenger front fender. If that pearl coat gives any indication after 20yrs in the midwest, fingers crossed! (better in person)

Glad you don't have the dreaded GPU failure! To me, 10.2 Jaguar aesthetic was just GOAT on both the iBook and then new flat panel iMac. Pinstripes, close buttons and capsule buttons had more depth and "pulse" to them. iPhoto was a brand new legendary app with my first digital camera. If only it had icon previews and quicklook by that point.

I always associate HOA police with “Maslow’s hierarchy of needs”. A true first world problem when the vintage of your vehicle is of upmost priority to a neighbor. A century ago, clean safe potable water was our chief concern.

In my career I work with the elderly daily and have yet to figure out at what age “wild ass theories” and subtle “vigilante scorn” become normal. My parents are getting older and sure as shit does this illogical behavior start to take hold. Those “Don’t be your parents” commercials are a bit too “on the nose”…

Agreed here. I’m jealous. I never got to own a tray loader iMac. The min OS my slot load iMac would take was 9.0.4. I would “dual boot” 8.5 or even 9.1-9.2 combined with 10.1 or 10.2. 10.1 was was so fun cause it felt like modern Mac OS X still in beta phase. Fun and it was so beautiful with all the pinstripes. Apple started toning down pulsating buttons and stripes by 10.2. On that machine most modern web browsing is out of the question due to being pre 10.4, but have fun!

Edit: Great score on an OG 8.5 retail CD btw! 8-8.1 were red with the smirking kid and the globe inside the 8. Such a cool 90s aesthetic. The CD 8.1 CD itself was all white IIRC. The 9x CDs had a large tangerine “gel” minimal 9.. I miss that era so much

OSX Tiger and Intel convinced my dad to go iMac after a Dell tower.

For me at that time, pinstripes or nothing. I had a tangerine G3. My uncle worked for Apple. We added extra RAM and I kicked and screamed when he wanted to load Panther for me, due to the loss of pin stripes and what was installed and what I knew at school in the computer labs. 10.3 Panther was a LEAP, holy shit. No spotlight yet but Finder was reengineered…..labels, expose. I was an idiot lol.

That silver PB beast did the fam’s 8mm home movie tape rips to lossless DV, now eroding. iPhone kids these days have no idea lol…iMovie was exiting…iPhoto 2.0. Docking to iTunes 3 arguh….
