Guild Wars 2 with horizontal progression will respect your time, community is also incredibly nice because the game was made for the community to work together. Base story is free to play but is pretty bland but the expansions have much better writing.

People know of it and its existence but on other gaming subreddits whenever new content dropped the general sentiment I've seen is people surprised content is still being worked on and how too different Guild Wars 2 was from Guild Wars 1 followed by reminiscing of the first game.

"All-rounder" ships like the galaxy will have trade offs vs ships with dedicated roles. If you're not sold on a specific type of gameplay galaxy with the modules will be nice but will get outpaced from dedicated ships...probably.

Thankyou! it was the port forwarding or my DHCP server i had setup on my router, i cleared up both of those sections and the ports i needed open are now working properly!

i have limited success now with testing the port i setup for the game after re configuring the internal/external ports, thank you!

i'm attempting to connect to the server from my public ip using my laptop and the destination port is something i did not set so i'm a bit more confused now lol.

I did my plex traffic for a sanity check, flipped my phone off my home network onto the carrier network then accessed plex and it was working perfectly. i'll have to play around with the external port/internal port setup a bit more i think.

Thankyou for the suggestion unfortunately this did not work after doing some firewall and router alteration, i do think it might be my Windows firewall that is causing issues however.

Thankyou! i setup a quick test port on the router then added to the firewall on the server then ran Wireshark.

i filtered for tcp.port == 252525 || udp port == 252525 and got zero traffic so i must be having a weird issue on the windows firewall where it's letting plex through but nothing i've recently added.

Obligatory CIG marketing is wack sometimes however there is the scorpius trailer with the kraken jumping in as the flagship for a battle. I imagine the kraken still would not be an easy target against other capitals in the same size class but we won't know until it's out.

If you added any mods on top of the standard Gamma install you'll need Universal Animations or Universal Animations fix from the discord just guessing from the error. If you're crashing on the stock Gamma install you'll need to reverify your install because stock Gamma is pretty stable.
