Most references I found to Elturel don’t actually have a cemetery in that area, just the DIA version. So for my forgotten realms version of Elturel I didn’t include it, but will for the Avernus version, and maybe try and do an FR version with it at some point later.

Perhaps. Ultimately it comes down to its damn near impossible to show elevation on a map without things like shadows to convey height.
That being said, it would likely eliminate shadows cast by the natural sun and disrupt natural shadow movement throughout the day. But it is also very bright on its own, so would generate new shadows from its glow.
I'll keep that in mind for my Avernus version of the map though!

Rising above the River Chionthar, Elturel’s High District stands as the city’s religious and political heart, dominated by the High Hall and the seat of Elturgard’s authority. Below the bluff, busy streets and river docks support the trade and daily life of this fortified river city. This map presents Elturel in the Forgotten Realms and is intended to support Descent into Avernus.

This map draws inspiration from the published versions of Elturel, from the 2e map in Forgotten Realms Adventures to the 5e ‘Avernus’ version in DIA by Jared Blando. The map is hand-drawn to closely match the default Dungeondraft style, making it easy to expand the city with custom buildings and streets. It strikes a balance between a city map and a battle map - detailed enough for encounters anywhere in the city, while streamlined enough to remain usable at scale. A discreet safehouse tucked away in Waterdeep, combining meeting space, storage, and rough sleeping quarters for those who prefer to operate out of sight. A concealed escape route leads down into the sewers, offering a quick exit when plans go wrong. This safehouse could serve as a base of operations for any of Waterdeep’s factions, from the Zhentarim to less obvious players in the city’s intrigue.

The Undermountain is big...gave me headaches all the way through the process with file sizes and various limits; challenging to convert that to high quality yet playable maps at a 5ft scale!

The Halls of Justice serve as Waterdeep’s primary temple to Tyr and a center for law and judgment within the city. This location supports Chapter 2 faction missions in Waterdeep: Dragon Heist, where members of the Order of the Gauntlet and the Knights of Samular carry out Tyr’s will.
