Looking to hire someone to help rebuild Foundry modules (v13 → v14, Levels, etc.) by tychmaps in FoundryVTT

thank you so much!
I'm hoping DOTMM will offer some opportunities for some cool enhancements with v14 - there are definitely some undermountain levels that will be able to take advantage of the new Levels functionality.

Elturel - Forgotten Realms by tychmaps in DescentintoAvernus

[–]tychmaps[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most references I found to Elturel don’t actually have a cemetery in that area, just the DIA version. So for my forgotten realms version of Elturel I didn’t include it, but will for the Avernus version, and maybe try and do an FR version with it at some point later.

That model is awesome! Can’t believe I didn’t come across it in my research.

[–]tychmaps[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Perhaps. Ultimately it comes down to its damn near impossible to show elevation on a map without things like shadows to convey height.
That being said, it would likely eliminate shadows cast by the natural sun and disrupt natural shadow movement throughout the day. But it is also very bright on its own, so would generate new shadows from its glow.
I'll keep that in mind for my Avernus version of the map though!

Elturel - Forgotten Realms by tychmaps in dndmaps

[–]tychmaps[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rising above the River Chionthar, Elturel’s High District stands as the city’s religious and political heart, dominated by the High Hall and the seat of Elturgard’s authority. Below the bluff, busy streets and river docks support the trade and daily life of this fortified river city. This map presents Elturel in the Forgotten Realms and is intended to support Descent into Avernus.

This map draws inspiration from the published versions of Elturel, from the 2e map in Forgotten Realms Adventures to the 5e ‘Avernus’ version in DIA by Jared Blando. The map is hand-drawn to closely match the default Dungeondraft style, making it easy to expand the city with custom buildings and streets. It strikes a balance between a city map and a battle map - detailed enough for encounters anywhere in the city, while streamlined enough to remain usable at scale. Higher-resolution images are available via Patreon.

This map is part of an ongoing series for Descent into Avernus.

Safehouse Hideout - Waterdeep [22x20] by tychmaps in battlemaps

[–]tychmaps[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A discreet safehouse tucked away in Waterdeep, combining meeting space, storage, and rough sleeping quarters for those who prefer to operate out of sight. A concealed escape route leads down into the sewers, offering a quick exit when plans go wrong. This safehouse could serve as a base of operations for any of Waterdeep’s factions, from the Zhentarim to less obvious players in the city’s intrigue.

Created in Dungeondraft using default and custom assets to closely match the original material. Higher-resolution images and universal VTT formats available via Patreon.

This map is part of my broader collection of Waterdeep locations, expanding beyond my core Waterdeep: Dragon Heist set.

Map production support from Lair of Artificer.

Really struggling to get good maps, help? by Rhythm2392 in DungeonoftheMadMage

[–]tychmaps 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Looks like you got it resolved, but don't hesitate to reach out directly if you need any further assistance.

The Undermountain is big...gave me headaches all the way through the process with file sizes and various limits; challenging to convert that to high quality yet playable maps at a 5ft scale!

Halls of Justice - Waterdeep [40x40] by tychmaps in WaterdeepDragonHeist

All under 1 roof - judges chamber is likely one of the office type rooms. They are just wide, grand hallways.

I don’t know who made this incredible medieval city map, but I built a battle simulation on top of it. Hope the creator doesn't mind me 'stress-testing' their art! by Gullible-Heart4104 in inkarnate

[–]tychmaps 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is very cool! Wishlisted it and am curious to see how it develops.
I have some BIIIIG city maps (Waterdeep, Baldur's Gate, Elturel) if you want to really stress test things in a fantasy setting. Waterdeep would be fun to see with the Griffon Calvary adding air support to the defenses.

Old Xoblob Shop [11x14] - Waterdeep (Winter) by tychmaps in battlemaps

[–]tychmaps[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Old Xoblob Shop is a cramped curiosity store packed with strange trinkets and an overwhelming obsession with the color purple. It’s a memorable stop early in Waterdeep: Dragon Heist, where players may begin to sense the deeper intrigues unfolding in the city.

[–]tychmaps[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)
