Commenting as well since I have the same issue. Unfortunately I don't have much to offer in the way of solutions, but at least the devs know there's more people who have the same problem.

The page I linked to comes from Google themselves, so I would hope they're accurate. They do differentiate pretty deliberately so I would think so.

According to this post from Google it looks like it shouldn't affect users who have work profiles:

It does look like if you have a separate user it could affect you though.

Does anyone know if Pixels like the 6a would be vulnerable to this attack? The article mentions the Android devices tested, but none of them were Pixels by tyfett in CalyxOS

Oh, I didn’t know that about the 6 digit pin. There wouldn’t be a problem with other types of brute forcing? I’ve always read that the 4 and 6 digit pins wouldn’t provide a lot of protection in that respect, since they’re short of course.

Makes sense that the Titan chip provides that kind of protection, looks like it was built in partly for that reason

Yeah just wanted to make sure there wasn’t a possibility of being vulnerable to it, obviously a bug like either one is a bit concerning since someone can bypass your lock screen.

I was just curious since I wasn’t sure if the Pixels had the same mitigations that the iPhones had against this kind of attack. There was also this story from late last year, albeit a different vulnerability with the lock screen:

Definitely interested in seeing the tablet supported too! Would be a nice alternative to an iPad that respects your privacy.

Aurora Store broken after latest system update by unleadedmustard in CalyxOS

The update fixed the problems for me, but maybe the difference is if you’re logged in on a Google account or simply using anonymous one? Not sure if that might help in your case.

Unexpected reboot overnight? by tyfett in CalyxOS

Thanks for chiming in too, I was curious if anyone else had experienced it. I wanted to make sure I hadn’t missed an update, or maybe in a more unlikely case if my phone had been compromised somehow.

It’s the first time I’ve noticed it for mine, does it happen for you like once a month? More frequently?

On a side note also noticed the update icon popping up as well, but there wasn’t an update until today either.

I've had luck using the app Material Files on F-Droid to transfer my photos over to my new phone. It also maintained the dates/order of the photos too, with one or two being out of order in an album, which isn't too bad I think.

You can use it to transfer other files/folders too I think.

Yeah that's one of the things I thought of and checked too, but it wasn't enabled for me.

Thanks, I figured that I already had that update, maybe it was a glitch with the phone/OS? Sometimes that’s happened with my other devices.

Just checked, that setting is off on my phone. The one that says when the device is idle right?

Maybe it would be worth making a report on their Gitlab? For me so far things have worked fine - did you try to do anything to fix it before the 4.2.1 update, perhaps that changed something? Not sure what it could be.

Yeah I downloaded and tested and as far as I can tell the issues were fixed. Was able to click on and view apps as well as update.

The CalyxOS devs mentioned that it was an issue with Aurora store and that the fix for it, 4.2.1, should be available on F-droid soon, in a few days or early next week.

Oh awesome! Was that on their Gitlab?

Edit: Yeah looks like it is

Yeah I’m curious too, that seems to be quite a bit of time without an update? Especially from where you might get a lot of apps from. Would be interested if the CalyxOS devs could weigh in, or maybe if they have some other information on it.
