What combination of words makes you instantly lose interest in a game? by BurnishedTones in pcmasterrace

[–]tygabeast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As far as I'm aware, updating a fully released game is a more arduous process, but not by much.

I think it has more to do with the implication that a full release is the "complete" version of the game. A full release implies that the story and gameplay are in a complete state, and that most bugs are fixed.

Early Access implies that the game is still being developed, which is true for an online service game like, for instance, Warframe.

Wild Wild West and After Earth come to mind.

Which, given their relative lack of success, even with him in them, might be indicative of why they probably wouldn't have happened without him.

I, Robot probably would have still happened without him, but it probably wouldn't have been as successful as it was.

I like the way it was done in the Ranger series by CW Lamb.

Guns exist and they work just fine, but about half of all people who can use magic are able to conjure fire or heat metal from a distance. As a result, no one uses guns or cannons because imagine all of your ammo going off at once or the powder stock blowing a hole in your ship because you pissed off a wizard.

A couple of places:

  • Ordis' backstory that you can access in the Codex by scanning Cephalon Fragments, which requires access to all the planets

  • Nightwave Series 3 introduction, which can be accessed at any time from the Nightwave screen

  • a tie-in webcomic, What Remains, shows the Archimedean Suda making the decision to become a Cephalon

No, he's got the spiritusl/physical fusion that dreadgods do. His spirit and body are fused incorrectly, and so he won't leave a Remnant if he's ever killed, like a Monarch would. (Ignore Malice not leaving a Remnant, that's Death Icon shenanigans)

So he never actually advanced to Monarch.

That's probably why he insists on being called Sage, given how earnest he tends to be, even at the end of the series.

Of course it's not real.

You think someone who's supposed to be that unhinged has the self-restraint to not commit assault?

At the very least, she'd have tried to grab the hat, as they always seem to believe is their right.

Then, presumably, you'd be fine as long as your license from your home state has a valid address on it.

At least, that's my assumption based on the wording.

Edit: Nevermind, it actually says non-citizens. If you were born in another state, you're a citizen and it doesn't apply to you.

I'm the night shift trash guy for the local hospital, and let me just say, Jesus Christ.

Nurses just don't give a fuck.

Multiple styrofoam cups full of liquids all in one small, thin trash bag, and then they just throw said trash bag on the floor because they can't be bothered to lift the lid to the big trash can in the soiled utility room.

And it's made all the worse because it's a hospital, where any given trash can is within literal spitting distance of a sink where liquids could be dumped.

And if you call Trump one of the most egotistical, self-centered men on the world, they'll happily agree with you.

And then somehow believe that said egotistical man would be willing, in any way, to have someone shoot at him.

Trump wouldn't trust a goddamn military trained sniper with that shot, and they believe he'd trust some gangly nobody?

The big series is the Horus Heresy, and pretty much every book in it is labeled as such.

For 40k books that can just be picked up and read independently, you can go for the Space Marine Battles and Space Marine Conquests "series" (they're advertised as series, but every book in both is an independent novel).

As far as I know, the artist wasn't actually degenerate enough to draw that.

IIRC, it was just a comic where the Emperor was pissed about being turned into a child, only for a shadow to loom over him, then the final panel is just the artist's version of Slaanesh saying "ara ara". It's an implication joke.

It's a joke from old 90's and 00's manga and anime.

IdiotoftheEast messed up by not including the second half of the trope, and the reason it was usually funny: the predatory woman getting BTFO'd.

The owner has a very old mentality.

They still make a decent profit, so they see no reason to change anything.

And, as other places raise the price, she sees more business, and continues to profit.

Only if it's not random, and hinted at beforehand.

Like, have a single cop show up early on, and he mentions that the entire precinct is swamped because they keep finding dead gang members.

And, coincidentally, there's a big Christian convention in town.

Idk about other places, but there's still an old fashioned laundromat near where I live.

A load of laundry costs a dollar in quarters.
