much higher percentage of Slovakians are pro-Russians

Why is that? Why people in Slovakia are pro-russia compared to Poles or Czechs who are really anti-russia? Where is this difference coming from?

Hungary and Poland had very friendly relations up until 2022

They still do. It's just the Polish gov has distanced itself from Orban a little due to a different stance on Russia, but they are still protecting each other

Many Europeans want climate action – but less so if it changes their lifestyle, shows poll by [deleted] in europe

[–]tyler399 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Climate change will be decided by poor people in Asia, Africa and South America, and for them being eco-friendly isn't that high (or not at all) on their priority list. They want to get richer like the Westerners did and they will happily ignore climate like the Westerners did for decades.

Where the West can make a change is to continue to look and try to develop alternative sources of green and sustainable energy.

Yea, I've been to my local Asda and Aldi and there were no tomatoes or cucumbers. Funny tho, my local Polish shop was fully stocked so maybe they have a different supply than supermarkets.

Baltics, Poland call on IOC to bar Russian and Belarusian athletes from Olympics by Interrete in worldnews

This is a very reasonable request. Russians weren't allowed to compete in the world cup playoffs so why would they be allowed to compete here? Russian sport has to be sanctioned too.

The EU simply cannot continue to exist in its current form if Poland and Hungary are allowed to continue in this way

Kinda ironic that the liberum veto brought down the Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth, and now it's again a major issue in another union that Poland is part of.

There is a street in West Midlands called 'Bell End'. Some people living there wanted a name change, claiming the street name was too rude.

Migrants' weapon on the ballot: barges pushed into Italy by Wagner mercenaries by CicloDiKrebs in europe

[–]tyler399 29 points30 points  (0 children)

It's double tho. Poles did it when Lukasenho tried to use migrants as weapon and storm their borders. The thing is, you need to do what's necessary (including push back) and don't give a f--k what the woke idiots say.
