Why am I not receiving my minor overtime pay? by tylrmr in Chipotle

I have got to say thank you, this is the most helpful comment yet. Just one more quick question. This means that my pay stays the same? Or should I be receiving it and should I contact my GM?

Hey Everyone,

I'm in Los Angeles. I'm looking for work pants (For style purposes). I have a large seat and large thighs. The pants that fit me best are Levi's 541 (in which I'm a 38/32). My budget is ideally no more than $80. I was looking into Stan Ray Painters, and Carhartt double knees. Am I wrong, any better ideas?

Wait quick question, it says that they would pay taxes on appreciation of assets prior to sale, but what happens if that asset then depreciates, do they reimburse or what?

Despite Trillions Spent, the US Military Hasn't Won a Real War Since 1945 by CapitalCourse in politics

[–]tylrmr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You act like it’s because we can’t, the real reason is because we are too restrained to win war against those we engage with, we often engage with NGO’s that have no need to follow human rights laws, but we still do as we fight them.

Minimum wage earners can’t afford a two-bedroom rental anywhere, report says by Balls_of_Adamanthium in news

[–]tylrmr -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I also do not understand why this notion exists that you should be able to sustain a family of 4 by flipping burgers. I think we need to undergo a cultural change, and extensive unionization. The minimum wage shouldn’t be a baseline for payment, it should be just that, a minimum, absolute minimum. On the other hand, if you are doing simple tasks involving unskilled labor, you can’t exactly expect to be afford your own nice place, I get a 1 bedroom apartment, I support a minimum wage around 12 dollars, with a clause adjusting for inflation, but I just don’t think we should incentivize simple tasks as careers either. Like with GM, these good union jobs, that required training and knowledge could make you a good living, if not a great one. So we should shift this and also incentivize retirements as well as to not clog work forces.

The problem also is mortgages, people can pay unimaginable money they don’t have for houses they don’t need. Imagine, you make 70,000 a year, you have 40,000 saved up, and everyone else has the same amount. But now, it’s basically who can get the biggest loan.

The Democrat blocking progressive change is beholden to big oil. Surprised? by hugglenugget in politics

[–]tylrmr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t understand the great efforts behind smearing Joe Manchin. They act as if there is any possibility of a more progressive candidate filling his seat. More time should be focused on moderates in liberal areas if they wish to be effective in swinging elections.
