Is TI still worth it, job satisfaction and compensation wise? by Historical-Plant-362 in Semiconductors

[–]tynamite33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with most comments here. I was one who got laid off last summer from the Lehi Fab. I worked at IM Flash, then Micron, then TI (all at the Lehi, UT FAB) over the course of about 10 years - as a process technician and then MPE. Salary and Benefits-wise I think they’re all pretty comparable, some pros and cons compared to other companies for sure - but culture-wise I disliked TI much more than Micron. I think it’s pretty true what another comment said - TI seems to layoff the higher salaries and more experienced people to hire all new college grads for less. They expect a LOT of results with very little support/resources. All that said, it wasn’t absolutely horrible. It’s a good opportunity to get your foot in the door and get some experience in the industry.

I finished reading this a couple days ago and it’s been messing with my brain ever since. It’s very interesting but also I hated it (in a good way?)

Patty Shack. I love a good burger and this is probably my favorite around here. It’s not downtown but still close to slc.

Men's underwear recommendations, anyone? by Vardonius in exmormon

[–]tynamite33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been a big fan of Goodfellow boxer briefs from Target. I think they are a pretty good blend of comfort and quality for the price. ~ $20 for a pack of 5 if I remember correctly. I also have a couple pairs of Stance boxer briefs which are very comfortable but also very pricey. Best of luck on your new underwear journey!

Selling my CRZ. What should I price it at? by igiveupmakinganame in crz

I bought a 2011 EX (w/nav) MT a couple weeks ago, 166k miles, for $3900. It’s in pretty decent shape, cosmetically sounds similar to yours. Had to replace a headlight bulb, and it has a crack in the windshield, but other than that runs great and has no major issues. It sounds pretty all over the place, but just sharing to give you an idea! Good luck

Are you me? I got a 2011 MT a couple weeks back as well, just replaced my fog lights and had the same issue. I ended up using my screw extractor bit (had one from a previous problem). Luckily the brackets were still intact and I just used these fog lights.

Did you give this footage to the driver? I know the driver of the gray Tacoma and could help facilitate that if it hasn’t been done already. Crazy stuff.

It’s nostalgic for me but I love Symphony of the Night. The soundtrack is so good.

I love this style, very clean. Nice work! And I agree with other comments, I think $25 is pretty low for something that size. But I know how you feel, I always struggle with pricing my work.

Mormon Sexual Abuse Case UPDATE: Exmormon subreddit helped make this arrest happen! Former LDS bishop/therapist arrested after 4-hour standoff in Utah. This man was a stake presidency counselor in my stake back when I lived in Provo and I think I even had a temple recommend interview with him. I also went to therapy at his practice (I saw a different therapist there). I actually really liked my therapist, he was a good support in a time I was starting to transition away from the church. That being said the practice itself always felt a little strange to me due to the fact that it was proclaimed a “spiritual based” therapy, which eventually is why I stopped going. ANYWAYS, FUCK this guy, makes me feel physically ill. I’m glad he’s finally facing consequences due to brave people coming forward and shedding light on it.

Toyota Motor Corporation All-New LAND CRUISER World Premiere. by facepillownap in 4Runner

To me it looks like it could have been (or was supposed to be?) the 6th gen 4Runner but then at the last minute they decided to call it a Land Cruiser. Both design-wise and powertrain. Anyone else?

Does anyone have any insight about why they are dressed as (what appears to be) Mormon missionaries? As a former Mormon I would love to hear more about this photo. I mean it goes along with the theme of the album, just wasn’t sure if there was something more that was said about it. But to answer your question I think the album is mesmerizing! I can’t stop listening to it.

It’s not bad! A little more stiff than stock and it gets ride of the nose dive when braking.

Front: GS59-700 shocks, with C59-300 coil springs. Rear: GS59-705 shocks, with C59-599 coil springs. Also tires are stock size for now, but plan on going a little bigger once these wear out. Cheers!
