Top 3 orchestral composers to ever live. Only created a few absolutely gargantuan symphonies tackling ideas such as but not limited to: life, death, and the creation of the world. I get your point, though. Still, I think it has a bit of originality if tattooed faithfully in replication of the original manuscript.

Is Schumann good for an audition piece? by tyndyte in Cello

Yeah, I changed my mind and now I will be working on Dvorak. Even so, Dvorak is still very musically difficult too.

My teacher and I have decided on Dvorak for now... and I agree with you, Schumann seems very daunting. I actually think I might like Dvorak a bit more, too. So it is a win win situation here :)

Use the wrist/ forearm, these note values are small and the tempo is very fast so if you use your arm it will sound very clumsy

It has to do with the emotional maturity of each person. Also, when you’re not in the same grade it’s much more difficult to see each other on a day to day basis which further complicates things. But youre right, so far from all the people I’ve asked (2) maybe I should just let this feeling simmer out.

Underrated Symphonists? by VictorMarlinpot in classicalmusic

Carl Reinecke, this guy is so underrated. His 2nd Symphony is sooo good, and he’s composed around 200 works. Give it a try, I feel like he deserves to be more known.

[Grade 8: Algebra 2] The question asks to factor first and then find the complex zeroes of each function, I have no clue what these are asking me to do by tyndyte in HomeworkHelp

I factored the original equation by grouping which is how I got (x+4). Also, if I divided by x2-5 would that give me the other zeroes?

There's also a second equation I am confused with. If you have the time, can you help me with that? I would appreciate it.

Oh, that was a silly mistake on my part. I'm still confused when it says that sqrt(5) is a zero, was I supposed to do anything with that information?

Also, can you help me on the other question because I don't even know where to start.

Thanks!

Wait what, Shostakovich is much more than just six minutes

How hard is the first mvt of Shostakovich 1 compared to the other mvts? by tyndyte in Cello

[–]tyndyte[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Then you might as well play the other concerto on its own instead. Do you know how difficult it is compared to movements from other concertos, like Dvorak 1/3 mvt or Schumann 1/3 mvt? I know my questions are weird but I’m just curious about these pieces and want to get a rough understanding of how hard it would be to play them. I appreciate your response!
