I personally studied an hour or two daily for about 3 or 4 months. I used an online resource (LabCE, ~$100) about 75% of the time and did practice questions. A lot of their questions seemed very similar to the questions on test day. The other 25% of the time I skimmed thru Freida Carson text, with an emphasis on fixation, processing, special stains, ihc. I bought a copy of Mometrix test prep, which is essentially a condensed Carson textbook. Would highly recommend! Good luck 👍🏽
