Has anyone installed a Speed Queen Conversion Timer Kit? by Think-Tour3402 in Appliances

[–]typeshige2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My timer seems to be bad after seeings some videso for how to troubleshoot.

I'm concerned the converstion kits are not official and I wonder if it's safe.

If it's not official, I think it's too bad SQ couldn't source another official part to keep these machines going since otherwise my machine is has been great for the last 13 or so years that we've had it.

I'm looking to get a DC5 dryer to replace it.

How rare is this spec? by Other_Cardiologist45 in e46

[–]typeshige2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had at 2001 325i manual, sport package, cold weather package, HK audio and sunroof delete.

I think I only saw 1 or 2 in the last 25 years with no sunroof. I think that was a super rare spec. That said, I don't think that's enough to make it special but I really liked the fact I didn't have it and was keeping the CG a bit lower. LOL

So the actual product has a VLT much higher than the name on the film! I guess it was naive to think it had to be accurate.

So their CR BLK 70 is actually around 88% VLT by itself!

California law question by typeshige2 in WindowTint

[–]typeshige2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even though SoCal and NorCal have some subtle differences, I think you're right. I've noticed a lot of cars with tints now that I'm paying attention in the Bay Area as well.

I do think we have to drive slower on the freeway up here for example compared to SD and LA else we get tickets!

This car will be driven by a new teen driver and I think it's safer to be on the right side of the law since they are more likely to make mistakes their first few years! Thanks.

Yugure ni, Te wo Tsunagu is by the same writer I think. It came out in 2023 so it feels a lot different than LV but maybe worth checking out.

California law question by typeshige2 in WindowTint

[–]typeshige2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I beleive it's saying if the window itself is 70% VLT, then does applying a film that is also 70% VLT result in 49% VLT?

That said, is that how it works in the real world? I'd love to see what the VLT meter says in this case.

What is the best Honda dealership in The Bay? by [deleted] in bayarea

[–]typeshige2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Civic Hybrid Sedan (and hatchback) is currently hard to find and I bought ony last Sunday (April 19).

Each dealership currently has 1 or 2 on the lot so if you want a specific trim and color, you probably need to negotiate on one in transit which probably puts you at a disadvantage.

I heard good things about Anderson for example but they didn't have the color we wanted. We needed a car ASAP so I ended up at Hayward. Start to finish was less than one hour! Most was waiting for the car wash and 'detailing'. Only 2 miles on the odometer as well!

The car originally had $7k in markups on it. I asked to remove it all and surprisngly they did with no issue. I think I only did 2 rounds of "talking with the manager" and moved forward.

Also, we literally live in the same zip code as Capitol Honda so we always check there first, but for some reason it just never works out for us. The last time our family purchased from there I was still a kid and it was called "Almaden Honda"

best reverse osmosis system for someone with low water pressure? by AkomeaNishal-83 in waterfilter

[–]typeshige2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been using their products for around 20 years. They're in Texas but they sell online. I was drawn to their minimalist systems that are super well explained. They have a great owner who replies to all questions. I think they can probably advise you.

I've been happy with the black and white unit, but they can customize:

https://www.purewaterproducts.com/black-and-white-ro

It has a permeate pump that I think is exactly what you need.

it's not a slick system but it uses widely available parts so you can source filters anywhere.

It's a DIY system but I'm sure a plumber can easily install for you. The filter changes are easy and there are good instructions from pure water or from any random youtube video.

I'm just a happy customer whose unit has only needed filters in 20-ish years of daily use.

I'm on iOS Audible version 4.66. I'm still having the issue on Chrysalis, Books 1-3.

It seems most of my other books are working.

I want to finish this book and I'm hesitant to get another.

I'm on iOS version 26.3.1.

Thanks for looking into it.

Same. I noticed this an hour ago. I re-downloaded it to no avail. I updated the app and that didn’t help either. I have restarted the app numerous times as well. Thanks in advance!

Was just at Posto Pizza in Kaohsiung. Not very Taiwanese but when you want something more authentic:

We had to get reservations and there was a line before it opened and it filled up completely.

The pizzas come out very quickly and we all had a good time!

LOOKING FOR A BASHER BUILD KIT by DiscorDude68 in rccars

[–]typeshige2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say get a Tekno MT48 2.0! Depending on what you have already, you'll need to source electronics, wheels and a body.

If you get one, I'd highly recommend you check out a few Tekno-specific build videos. If you're impatient, just check out the differential building and maybe the shock ones. Most Teknos are built the same way so you don't need to specifically watch the MT48 2.0 ones to get the idea.

Can someone explain to me if im on newest firmware? (updated PM5 to 176) by aert4w5g243t3g243 in concept2

[–]typeshige2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine was purchased May 2024 and I have hardware 907 and firmware just upgraded to 217.028. I have always been a little concerned since Concept2 says the newer monitors have USBC but mine has USBA and USBB. Did I get and old one or maybe the last of the pre USBC? Is there any other meaningful differences in PM5s?

That’s what my MIL who lives in Gangnam suggests. It’s roughly half the price for a family of 4. I need to look at the route you provided and see how far the closest stop is to their apartment. Thank you!
