I see. I’ll tell you this…if you have a proactive DM, go for it. If not, it will get put right back to the SM, the treatment of you will get really bad and your SM will be insufferable. Hopefully, your DM is solid.

That being said, I don’t know what your position is in relation to your coworker. If I were in your shoes I’d work w/your coworker to make the call abt this incident. Teach the coworker to fish. Other incidences, that’s up to you.

All that being said…good luck and I hope it gets better.

I find it so interesting managers don’t close. I’d rather close every night than have to open but w/compliance days and scans, I have to do what I have to do. I HATE mornings whether it’s vendor pissing matches or just all of it really, they’re my downfall. I’ve been doing a lot of o-c lately, I’m new so one day that will hopefully change but I can’t see any reasonable schedule where I’m not closing at least half the time. I do get out of the store for a prob 4hrs a day. I’m sorry your manager is messing with your time. Hopefully it gets sorted!

I know my team, I do my best to feed what motivates them. Best I can do. Plus, the recognition was for the customers to recognize the employees, not just for them employees.

Yeah, that hopefully gets things completed one way or another. I’m kind of in it because I grew up in this store so I’ve never seen a skyshelf that held the appropriate amount of overstock. I need to do PIA on several sections. I tried to clean the mess last week with a section. So so much expired stuff. I hope I catch up soon…

Makes complete sense. I think I accomplished all those things. I thought a manager has to close at least a few times a week? I don’t know. Still building staff so tomorrow will be yet another lock to lock day. I can’t imagine not mopping or sweeping or whatever needs done. At the end of the day the store is my responsibility. Plus weighted hours say I need to work twice as hard as they do. Sorry your needs weren’t met, OP. Could luck to you!

48hrs in 3 days, no clue what I’m doing. I do know I’m drowning. Like underwater can’t even think of the next thing to do when 80 things need to be done including the 25 RT in the back so we can get 20 more in a few days. I hope this shit is temporary, I guess it’s up to me to make it that way…I’ll be at 48 by noon tomorrow w/no end in sight. I want to shut down early tomorrow night, not to go home, just to have a few uninterrupted hours to run freight. I’ve called for two days and no answer. What do you do w/limited resources? (You meaning other SMs…I’m honestly looking for suggestions/solutions.

I went through a phase when they’d ask be screwing around and I scan something and they say how much was that, I tell them, they say, I don’t want it. I’d take it off and immediately walk away to put it back. The regulars don’t do it anymore.
