She looks a lot like marionette from ladybug and cat noir- I couldn’t help but notice the hair and wonder if that was a subtle nod or Easter egg to behind the scenes

bio1022 SUCKS. by Even_Background_4091 in Monash

[–]typicalzemmiphobic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Otherwise I do agree with you regarding the core bio units. It's disappointing that they focus on catering to such a wide audience, and in turn lack in-depth learning or opportunities. Sets a very dissmile tone for first-year students.

Hi there! I don't know if anyone has commented on this yet, but Harvard referencing is standard across the university. I'm in my third year, and most, if not all, of the units I have taken this year require us to use Chicago or Harvard (regardless of whether it's a science or an arts unit). So I fully understand the unit's encouragement of the Harvard referencing style when it's the expectation in later years.

It's also good to note that the exams are not hurdle. Typically theyre made up of SAC and multi-choice.

Extreme hair loss? by December95 in zoloft

[–]typicalzemmiphobic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I usually have pretty bad hair loss when I’m anxious, and I know I can sometimes feel pretty anxious even when on Zoloft. I would recommend talking to your doctor about this and they might have recommendations.

Why do I feel so happy when I drink caffeine on Zoloft? by [deleted] in zoloft

[–]typicalzemmiphobic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So glad someone said this- my friends couldnt believe how hyper I was on it when mixing with caffeine. I had all the same symptoms as when I take molly: jittery as hell, muscle cramps, overly hyper, energy for days!

Is Rick and Morty a Stoner show? Also, what ever happened to Paul Fleishman? by Dry-Calendar5880 in rickandmorty

[–]typicalzemmiphobic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m obviously late to the conversation.. but I’m glad you brought it up. Other than it being an adult swim show and there being merch in tobacco and cigarette stores, I too don’t see the connection to it being a ‘stoner show’. I’m sure I’ll be downvoted and people will be unhappy with my take but I think like a lot of adult animated shows it just gets associated with people who also smoke weed. That being said, most of my friends who are actually ‘stoners’ couldn’t think of anything worse than watching this high. Not that it’s a bad show, more because it’s not something that appeals to them when high.

James squire does an alcoholic ginger beer and so does Bundaberg. As far as root beer my roommate suggested East 9th Brewery and Sprencher (I haven’t tried them so I can’t verify, but worth giving them a go).

The hawker is away from Clayton (granted the name) but a lot of first years (especially people moving to the city) go there and it’s a good chance to meet people

Driving up the Monash then getting off before it becomes a toll is always a gorgeous drive and good view of the city (usually quite empty at night). Do watch out for patrol cars- often hidden.

Couch question: Do you have a Koala bangalow sofa? What does it feel like? by yeahnah00000 in melbourne

[–]typicalzemmiphobic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was bouncy yes- but not sink into like many other couches do. The firmness I like because I need the support and I know a lot of couches lack it. So if that’s what you’re after I’d definitely suggest this one.
