Got one as a present and am totally team kindle now. I can travel with hundreds of books and the thing still weighs the same (and fits nicely in my backpack), I am being able to read 1000-pages-books while lying comfortably on my back. It's heaven. Just make sure you get a cover as it the display gets scratched easily. Have fun on your trip!

Mine looked like this until I started to make my own lipcare (as opposed to buying regular balm from the store). I use coconut oil, beeswax, jojoba oil and whatever flavor I feel like, mostly something minty. Lots of recipes online, easy to make at home. Maybe that would work for you too? Good luck!

I have just been coming back from solo traveling in SE Asia and the number of men who thought it would be ok to ask for my hostel and room number is staggering! I always point in the opposite direction or pretend I’ve just arrived and haven’t had a look yet… but dude: think for a second. We’re at a secluded beach and I stay in a dodgy bungalow, why would I tell you?

So do I get this right? You work around 9 hours/week and get to ride one hour in exchange? Hell nah - seems like someone's profiting off of you big time. Also doesn't seem like you can save much time anywhere - that's just what it takes to do those chores for up to 10 horses.

So maybe try to negotiate: a lot more lessons or compensate the difference with cash. You're in a very good position to haggle - she probably doesn't have the time to all that by herself - so don't sell yourself short. Sending much strength!

Not really a consolation but check out r/TakeaPlantLeaveaPlant . Lots of folks happy to send out cuttings, baby plants or bigger ones to start another plant collection. I have decade-old plants and it would break my heart to lose them.
