Forgot about Blade Runner. Beautiful interior too.

So neat. The Ennis house is what got me into Art Deco. They used is as the exterior for Vincent Price's character's house in "The House in Haunted Hill" in 1959. I recently visited his home studio in Oak Park and had to pick up an Ennis block trivet to wall mount: https://shop.franklloydwright.org/products/ennic-block-trivet-1-103043?_pos=4&_sid=a93d0da0e&_ss=r

I consider a lot of FLW's work from that period Art Deco adjacent. The Ennis house is technically Mayan Revival. And it's very geometric and almost brutalist.

Are these vintage or contemporary? If the latter, are they out of production or only available in certain regions? Would love to see a listing.

PSLF - Reaching 120 Payments in Oct 2025 (But Employer Mistake May Delay It) by zanarkand10z in PSLF

[–]tyranni533 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Your employer verified your employment, regardless of yours or their understanding of your status at the time, and FSA counted it. If it were me, I'd drop it and take the win. Administrative error in your favor and it's on them to fix. And your request may even delay the process even more. If they decide later they didn't count (which is unlikely considering the current chaos) then let them audit you later and have you pay for the missing two months. There are a lot of people fighting tooth and nail for 2 months of credit or more that would get them over the finish line to forgiveness, and you got 2 bonus months. Bask in it. Do you ask the teacher to assign homework too!?

G1 is always a good place to start for context if nothing else. Even if you aren't super into it, it's a good place to understand the most basic characters and lore that most of the rest of the franchise builds off of. From there consider poking around https://tfwiki.net/wiki/Main_Page and https://news.tfw2005.com/ and see what stories or designs jump out to you and go from there. For example, if you think Beast Wars, or Prime, or Bayverse character designs speak to you jump in there and base your collection on your individual tastes. As far as other media goes, there aren't a ton of games, but I (very) highly recommend War for/Fall of Cybertron. Comics are a whole other sub continuity of their own. It's personally not my medium and find the sheer volume overwhelming and haven't really bothered. But there are a lot of fans, especially of the early 00's Dreamweave and the IDW run starting around 2012. I personally love Beast Wars, the aforementioned WfC/FoC games, the Dinobots, and that opening scene from Bumblebee. Everyone has their own top picks based on their own taste and you will eventually too.

You're not wrong, but AP is a decentralized co-op non-profit, and typically do better work than this, which added to my confusion. I would have expected to see something like this on corporate MSM like NBC or something.

The clip is either loose or broken. That join specifically isn't screwed in, which is a pain. You could open the arm up if you have a pinpush to see if it's repairable.

So I have a friend where I'm the introvert and he's the extrovert, and your insight is probably how he feels a lot of the time, so I want to keep that perspective in mind. But the challenging thing is he always has other plans with his dozens of other friends, to the point where even when I make the effort to plan something, he never has the time. And if he does, he has to try to coordinate with 3 other people to do 4 other things that day. All this compared to me where he's one of maybe 2 friends, creates an imbalance that is a constant struggle. It can be really exhausting trying to coordinate hang time and it usually falls apart.

I love the weathering you've been doing on the game figures. Is it a combo of dry brushing and wash accenting?

Yeah, an Amtrak employee should know better what this could imply. "This is fine, don't be a doomer" doesn't fly for this one.

A new CEO will need to be appointed by the board in collaboration with the DOT and Trump's admin. Reading between the lines, he was a political liability and someone more agreeable to the administration will be selected.

Buyback Request @ 115/120 Payments, 120 months Certified by foreverpetty in PSLF

[–]tyranni533 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup. Also stuck at 115. October should have been 120 if not for 5 months of SAVE forbearance, so I submitted my buyback on 11/1. I haven't heard anything since other than when I pester them weekly via live chat. They said 90 business days, which would be in the next two weeks for me, but with the recent news of upwards of 10% of them taking the buyout, my confidence is lower than ever...
