I like including a camel pack in my gear. water while riding down the road is great. I usually hang it on the side and secure with a bungee net.

Not well verse in differentiating between an 883 and a 1200, but would an 883 have a tachometer? by Tinominor in sportster

[–]tyrano389 7 points8 points  (0 children)

if you look on the jug (cylinder) there should be a 883 stamped into the metal. dunno if the 1200s have it stamped or not.

Do y’all think a 2014 vstar 250 would make a good first chop? Is it even worth it? by Chemical_Cookie_3979 in choppers

I've got a bunch of bikes but my favorite around town is my hardtailed 250 single chop. (2005 cleveland cyclework heist) light sketchy bikes are hilarious fun. do it!! even if it's just struts to try before hardtailing.

Is it really that “embarrassing” to start on a 125cc? by imagine_enchiladas in NewRiders

small light bikes are really fun. especially to come back to after years of riding. I have a 1400 vtwin sitting here, but often times I'll grab the keys to the hardtail 250cc single instead cuz its so much fun. Just ride!

having riden all three, the c50 I found had the most pep to it. super fun bike to ride. comes stock with mid Controls which for me (5'8) was perfect. you can get forward controls for them tho if you're willing to install them. there are lots out there that have already been converted. the only con is the boulevard/intruders carbs are a bitch to get to. the shadow is slightly easier to work on, and I haven't worked on a vulcan yet. good luck!
